CMA sponsorship celebrates decades of music inspired by iconic brand
DETROIT, June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --In its 100 years, Chevrolet has produced iconic vehicles – from the era-defining Bel Air to the timeless Corvette. Jay Z, Kid Rock, and Mariah Carey are just a few of the artists to name-drop Chevrolet in hit songs. But no genre has embraced the breadth and depth of Chevrolet's pop culture standing like country music.
But the special relationship between Chevrolet and country music isn't limited to its male stars. Carrie Underwood made heartfelt reference to packing up her Chevy in "Don't Forget to Remember Me.

Eighteen years had come and gone

haha that's cool that they mentioned that!
I do feel like country people do mention chevy's a lot in songs, and thats great carrie was like the most well known on the girls side
Lol, but she drives a Ford in I Ain't In Checotah Anymore! Carrie's conflicted, lol.
Speaking of cars - does anyone know what kind of car she drives now? I know she gave the blue Mustang she won on Idol away, to a nephew or something.

Last I heard she drove a Ford Escape Hybrid.
Thanks for the quick response! I had no idea, but I haven't always been able to listen to all those radio interviews and things that are posted on here. Hard to keep up sometimes!
