Country Universe "30 Day Song Challenge" (Carrie mention).

Country Universe is doing a "tweaked" version of the "30 Day Song Challenge" that has popped up on Facebook.

The first category was "favorite Song."

Tara Seetharam: “Bless the Broken Road” – Carrie Underwood

It’s hard to find words that speak to the personal connection I’ve formed with this song, so I’ll let my favorite line sum up its lyrical poignancy: “Now I’m just rolling home into my lover’s arms” is as best a description of the ease of true love as I’ve ever heard. As I said in my very first Country Universe post, I’ll take this song in any form by any artist (literally – I have over ten versions on my iPod), but if I had to choose, the conviction in Underwood’s acoustic version is second to none.

True but I think it was extremely generous of RF to let her shine by taking the lead on that duet.

I agree. I think Carrie & the Flatts have a great chemistry when they perform together, and their harmony is amazing. It was generous of them to let them sing BTBR, and they have been very supportive of her career.
Carrie obviously has the more powerful/stronger voice, so I think the way they're able to balance each other is great.
I remember when Carrie first came off Idol, and she said the Flatts guys were the ones who showed her the ropes of Nashville.
I adore the fact that they respect each other so much.

Gary mentioned in an interview for their Biography program that the performance of GBTBR with Carrie on AI was a big factor in their own success. I like their music, too.
