Viewers love the CBS reruns.

“NCIS,” television’s No. 1 series of the moment, drew 15.4 million viewers last night to a repeat. The Mark Harmon drama put CBS on top for the night in viewers and in young adults.

CBS averaged 12.2 million viewers in prime time, outpacing NBC with 4.6 million, Fox and ABC with 4.1 million apiece, and The CW with 856,000.

At 8, “America’s Funniest Home Videos” on ABC amused 5.7 million and was a distant second to “NCIS.” A two-hour “Biggest Loser” special drew 4.3 million to NBC. Fox averaged 4.1 million by repeating Carrie Underwood’s two-hour Christmas special.

At 9, “NCIS: Los Angeles” pulled 12.3 million to CBS. The spinoff is the most-watched new series this season. ABC had little success with new episodes of “Scrubs” (3.5 million) and “Better Off Ted” (2.9 million).

At 10, a repeat of “The Good Wife” on CBS was the choice of 9 million. “The Jay Leno Show” managed 5.2 million for NBC. A repeat of Oprah Winfrey’s White House Christmas special on ABC was the stop for 3.3 million.

i'm not a rerun person. usually i use reruns as an excuse to procrastinate, so i stay away from watching something twice.

That's a great number, especially for a rerun of a variety show, which traditionally don't do very well even when they're new!

Just as a side note, it looks like the Faith Hill special did about 6.4 million. Of course Carrie is partially responisible for the viewership.

Yes it is good for a rerun. Consider that Sugarland's special a few months back averaged about that and that was not a rerun.
