Fine Line
LITTLE BIG TOWN
Producer(s): Wayne Kirkpatrick, Little Big Town
Genre: COUNTRY
Label: Capitol
Little Big Town recently inked a new deal with Capitol Records Nashville, and "Fine Line" is one of three songs added to a relaunched version of the group's exceptional album "A Place to Land." Written by LBT and producer Wayne Kirkpatrick, this potent single boasts a visual lyric about a disgruntled lover striving to get more from a faltering relationship, alongside the amazing harmonies that make this group sparkle and shine. Truly, the message offers a portrait of hopeful longing mixed with anger and resignation, while the performance captures every nuance of emotion. A new label affiliation and fall tour with Carrie Underwood should help this talented foursome garner the attention it deserves. —Deborah Evans Price
She's wrong about Fine Line being one of the 3 added tracks but IMO it's cool that a Billboard reviewer is mentioning how touring with Carrie should be a good career building block for LBT.
I will be seeing them in Winston-Salem, NC on October 24th and I can't wait. I am looking forward to another Carrie Concert and this will be my first time seeing LBT.

3/18/09 - All I can say about tonight is that for the first time I really want Carrie's music to continue progressing more to the traditional side of country music and I think it will. I don't care if it doesn't sell as well or all go #1, it's beautiful with Carrie's voice. Tonight I saw her as a Country legend for the first time.
remember how just 2 years ago we were saying how great it will be for Carrie's career for her to tour with Kenny and Brad? now a tour with her is great for other artists!
May you always have
enough happiness to keep you sweet;
enough trials to keep you strong;
enough success to keep you eager;
enough faith to give you courage;
and enough determination to make each day a good day!"

Crush
DAVID ARCHULETA
Producer(s): Emanuel Kiriakou
Label: Jive
It's not a stretch to suggest that Sony chief (and former Jive prez) Barry Weiss saved the "American Idol" franchise from top 40 radio demise. Instead of trying to overcontemporize the pageant's pop finalists with ill-fitting R&B production (read: Katharine McPhee), he has carefully aligned acts with material that matches (read: Jordin Sparks). So the prognosis is aces for the launch of season-seven runner-up David Archuleta. "Crush" is a hummable, age-appropriate midtempo pop ditty for the 17-year-old, showcasing his fine mass-appeal vocal stylings with creamy harmonies and some nice falsetto effects. The track is produced by millennium wiz Emanuel Kiriakou, who has worked with Sparks, Jesse McCartney, Celine Dion and Nick Lachey. "AI" has shown renewed radio potency thanks to such super-caliber artists as Chris Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson and Carrie Underwood—along with the democratizing of the consumer vote, via iTunes. "Crush" is likely to put its money where its title is on the charts. —Chuck Taylor

I couldn't say more about LBT. They are my favorite group ever, in all genres. I really hope they get the full success they deserve. It's awesome that Carrie's at the position now that touring with her helps your career. I think it will bring LBT a lot of new fans, because you just can't top them live IMO.
