Being a voter is a fickle business and some prejudice and lack of full awareness of the facts can also enter the picture. So, my point, is that some critics seem to think TS is in the running for FVOTY so it can almost be a given that some voters see it that way as well. I'm not too worried but when I see articles like this, it adds some concern. I'll have to put my faith in the ACM voters and hope the majority know the facts.

How anybody can listen to PTB and then SS and not tell who has the better vocal is beyond me b/c the range and difficulty between these songs is like oranges and apples. I'm not even an expert and can tell who's a better vocalist. The voters should be able to listen to the cd and know who is the better singer w/o even listening to their live performances. If TS wins this award over Carrie, it could likely be other biases involved that has nothing to do w/ singing or that they are just looking more at sales, popularity, buzz, etc, which technically TS has a little more edge over Carrie b/c of her singles crossing over to mainstream.
I think Carrie will win FVOTY though. But I still feel that it will be between Carrie and TS b/c they are the only two that have had a big year compared to the other ladies and Carrie's song off of CR are more difficult/challenging songs as far as range goes than what the other's has demonstrated on live tv so far.
