Country sweetheart Carrie Underwood called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” Thursday morning to talk about her newest single “Forever Changed“, her upcoming tour “Blown Away“, and how she developed her sexy ankles.
Does Carrie’s Husband [Mike Fisher] Understand Girlie Things?:
“He’s such a guy that he’s a really good blend of man’s man, but he likes to shop! He cares about his appearance. I won’t say he has as much clothes or shoes as I do, but he has way more than what your normal man would have. I’d say he’s close. He’s rivaling my shoe collection.
How Did She Get Her Sexy Ankles?
“If it makes anybody feel better…when I was young I actually had a lot of problems with my ankles. I grew too fast and they didn’t catch up so when I played basketball I had to wear ankle braces.”
On Her Single “Blown Away”:
“There’s really no particular theme. A lot of the songs are very visual, but in different ways. It’s kind of a roller coaster, and I think I pushed things in a lot of different directions. We got a little bit darker, and a little bit lighter. I sing songs that are a little more traditional country than I’ve every done before. So…I’m a little schizo…when it comes to making an album. In a good way, because I think theres something for everyone.”
On Her Single “Forever Changed”:
“It’s set in another time. It’s another one that you can see this movie play out as you listen to the song. It’s definitely one…I’ve been talking about it so much, because I think it’s one of the best well written songs I’ve ever heard in my life. So I’m amazed that I got my hands on it, but I am worried that me talking about it as much as I have been…I don’t want it to be a single, because I can’t sing it! I can’t do it! I’ve never been able to listen to it or sing it and actually get through the whole thing.”
“Blown Away” is available to download in iTunes, and will be at The Staples Center on October 16th

Just because she talks about Forever Changed and saying she DOES NOT want it to be a single doesnt mean it is. lol.
Tweeters, get to work on Nigel!!!!!!!
Yes, let's push for a Carrie performance. Even if her band can't be there, Carrie can use Aerosmith's band (just announced that Aerosmith will be singing their new single at finale).

So did that rumor a while back that Carrie was going to possibly do a duet with Aerosmith on their new album ever happen? I am thinking not since we have not heard anything about it.
IA.It's done it job, now move on if these type of updates continue. I hope they don't stick with it too long and manipulate the charts just to see how high it could peek and hurt the album in the process. If radio is over it than move on. I think BA could do some amazing things for this era.
Man, depending on who's the final two, it might be the first Idol finale that I just don't have any interest in watching. And they haven't enticed too much with who they've announced so far. Somehow I think I liked Idol more when it wasn't so much about the judges performing and making it all about them. I think that's why I don't have any interest in watching The Voice!
Im over 4000 posts! YIPPEE!!

Maybe a dumb question but has any former Idol ever come back to mentor? I don't feel like anyone has, but it seems like someone who has actually been through this competition and achieved success would be the obvious choice to help current contestants.
- Great inteview. Ryan Seacrest is always so nice to Carrie.
- I'm glad to hear that Carrie will be returning to American Idol to watch the final. I'm disappointed to hear she's not performing again though.
- don't think Carrie will mentor contestants, I don't think she wants too. But I know she likes to befriend the new Idols and offer them good advice.
- It's a shame Carrie won't release "Forever Changed", but I can understand why she doesn't want too.
Thank you for posting the links/information, guys.
Even though it was mostly old stuff, I liked the interview- Ryan is always so good to Carrie.![]()

I think Jimmy likes to control the mentors and use those in the UMG stable of artists.
