Omg you guys tonight is the last preds home game and they said a very special performer!! Omg what if its Carrie!!???"
Well, Carrie and the band have been rehearsing for the past 2 days.......
I couldn't find the exact Preds quote, though.
What do you guys think?
wow... that would be great.. but if it's Carrie I don't think she'll perform anything new other than GG
Maybe but probably not. Is Carrie in Nashville?
that would be awesome. But as Carrie stated in one of her latest blogs, is that look forward to the end of April. so I dont think anything big is coming for a few more weeks.
looked on the Preds site, it says be on the look out for some special guest throughout the night.
One of them is Frankie Ballard as he tweeted about it. Guess one could be Carrie singing GG, but she has been rehearsing all day.
If she is there hope someone records it.

I wouldn't count on it. She typically tries to keep a low profile at the games. I heard an interview with Mike where he was talking about her performing last year during the playoffs because Vince had asked her to. He said that she had asked him about it and he told her to go ahead but he also said he didn't know how he felt about it. (My personal interpretation is that he wasn't crazy about it which makes me think she probably won't do it again unless asked by somebody higher up.)
Boy would this be cool
Has the game started yet?
Hmm why would mike have a problrm with it? Thats odd.
Ricky Skaggs is the one performing at intermission.
It actually makes perfect sense to me why he wouldn't be crazy about the idea. He gets enough of the "Mr. Underwood" "Carrie Underwood's husband" comments as it is. The one place where he can shine (for lack of a better word) and is working hard to make a name for himself in his own right is in the hockey world. (Carrie seemed to understand his feelings as Vince made a comment last year about her not initially wanting to perform because she felt like she was invading Mike's territory. That would explain why she asked him about it in advance.)
I remember that conversation differently. She was hesitant to do it, and Mike said go ahead and have fun with it. Someone could probably find it.
I heard an interview with him on a sports channel where they were talking about it. He said that when she asked him about it he wasn't sure how he felt about the idea but he told her to go ahead because he knew she would have fun and the fans would like it. I didn't mean to imply she was doing anything against his wishes just that I can understand his initial hesitation. It's a testament to the kind of guy he is that he told her to go ahead with it. I don't think she'll make a habit of it because she doesn't like the whole "Carrie Underwood's husband" thing either. She did the Predators charity event a while back presumably because somebody asked her. If somebody in the organization asked her to do something she probably would but she seems happy to keep a pretty low profile around the hockey club.
ohh that would be awesome!
Yes, It seems highly unlikely that Carrie will perform at any of her husband's games in the future. I don't think she would really want to, she's there to cheer on Mike, nothing more.![]()
