If you click on "Listen to the Demo" here, there is a clip of Carrie. In it, she talks about her Mom finding the images of her in the bathing suit (at the lake with Mike in Canada) on the internet. Carrie says they never saw the cameras. That has to be frustrating to have your privacy invaded like that - to never feel like you can let your guard down. The things we take for granted that fame prevents Carrie from enjoying! But, Carrie makes a joke with Marty that shows she can always look at the bright side.
I was just thinking about this less than hour ago. No, not the bikini pictures, the downside of fame. Everyone always thinks how great it would be to be famous. Sure there are a lot perks, but there is huge downside. The idea behind Kenny Cheney's Album, Welcome to the Fish Bowl, is about living your life in the proverbial fishbowl. You never know when the parasites are out there with their super telephotos. Sure there are famous people who seek it out, they need the ego stroke all the time. Good press or bad it makes no difference because they are getting attention. But then there are people like Carrie who accept the downside of fame as a cost she pays to get to do what she loves.
I almost said something about the pictures when they were posted here. Instead I tried to deflect and talked about her taste in beer. But when I first saw them on the net I was angry. I don't get how people even feel comfortable with photos like that. I always feel like I am intruding. I was going to ask then and I'll do so now, Does CF have any policy about posting pictures of Carrie that are intrusive to her private life? I know that she and Mike were in public on a lake, but-it's clear from the context of the photos that this was a family and friend thing - it was a "Carrie" private life thing, not a "Carrie Underwood" public thing. Just because someone is a superstar doesn't mean the public owns them 24/7. As fans, I think we should respect some zone of privacy, that even though we want to know everything doesn't me we have a right to it. I have more to say, but I'll leave it at that.
As you have seen in practice here recently we have moderators that will lock threads, bann posters or remove threads if we get too far out of line. I understand your concerns and if it is a bother then discussions for you might be better at the OFC where strict policies exist. It is rather boring over there. They don't talk about anything but Carrie. No other artists or subjects. I am a member there but choose to be here for information and discussions. I doubt that the discussion you posted in about Carrie's voice would even be allowed there. Only good things are allowed. That is the issue. When is it in bad taste to talk (or see pictures) about Carrie. We wouldn't allow nude pictures of Carrie but in a public place, the lake, with a swim suite on seems to be OK to me. I would not want to see Carrie or princess Kate even topless.

I'm so demure, never engage in debates, talk about other artist, or even mention hockey - I'm sure the OFC forum would be a perfect fit. .The "bother" is because I'm a big "right to privacy" person. I know Carrie has no expectoration of privacy being on a lake. It's more like" leave them alone - let them live their private lives". It doesn't have anything to do with bad taste. The thread where comments were edited and deleted. That comment we a very bad taste. No, it has nothing to do with her wearing a swim suit, I'm not a Puritan. I would have had the same reaction if they were playing chess on the lake, except then I'd be tempted to enlarge the board and analyze the game. I was more irritated when pictures of them on their honeymoon surfaced. Really?! You're going to follow a couple on their honeymoon and take pictures? I know I'm being a Pollyanna, but just because someone is famous doesn't mean we have a right to intrude into all aspects of their lives.
I understand your position but what makes a person a celebrity? The fact that they are in the news. Josh Turner is not in the news so he is not a celebrity. SWSRN works on it, even calls the poperatsi to insure that she is seen. SWSRN is a celebrity. Carrie knows her life will not be private anymore but she still wants to be a celebrity. You can't have it both ways. Celebrity is a 24/7 job.
Is that her tour bus bed? If so it is amazing!
. Lucky doggies! Lol

I'm not taking the 24/7 literally, at least I hope you don't mean it that way. I don't care how much of a celebrity you are, there are somethings people do not have a right to know. A literal 24/7 means that a celebrity has to accept intrusion into their most intimate moments. We can debate were to draw the line, but I hope we agree there is a line. I doubt you would say Rupert Murdoch and his yellow sheet journalists had a right to hack into emails. Not just because it is illegal but because it crossed that line.
Being a celebrity you are opening yourself to be "attacked". When I said 24/7 I am saying that it is up to the celebrity to hide anything they do not want to be made public. I think breaking the law is going too far for the media but they could do it to me if I was a celebrity.
