Article listing some desperate inadequacies (Carrie mentioned)

Found this interesting intro to Portland's improbable comeback victory today:

Commentary: A rally that defies description
    Greg Jayne: Commentary

PORTLAND — It’s like climbing into the starting blocks next to Usain Bolt.

Or singing a duet with Carrie Underwood.

Or attempting to carry a scene with Tom Hanks.

It’s like every possible feeling of desperate inadequacy, this task of putting Saturday’s Trail Blazers game into words.

How to explain a comeback from a 23-point deficit over the final 13 minutes and 16 seconds? How to explain an 84-82 victory in Game 4 of a first-round playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks? How to capture the magical improbability of it all?

You can’t. You shouldn’t even try.

Yeah, me too. I wouldn't want to end up like Jason Aldean after Paradise City. He looked so useless on stage up there with our fiery queen!

    That's hysterically true.

Randy Travis on the Idol stage.
Jason Aldean on the CMA Fest stage.
Vince Gill on the GNO stage.

I felt bad for all of them, to be honest. Carrie dominates

Hope Brad proves him wrong on RM. Brad is probably to wise to try to compete and will just take turns... lol

I love to hear Carrie sing duets - she can dial it down - I think the Brad/Carrie duet is going to be awesome and I thought both Randy and Vince were awesome

I love it when Carrie sings a duet but I'd be so scared to be the duet partner! Next to that voice almost everyone sucks

I will include "Steven Tyler" in 2011 ACM Awards and MANY MORE!!! These "LEGENDS" like "Steven Tyler", "Vince Gill" and "Randy Travis" and superstars "Brad Paisley" and "Jason Aldean", etc. ...... have their OWN ANGELIC VOICE "LIKE ANGELS". But, Carrie has that "VOICE LIKE GOD'S VOICE" in comparison to their angelic voices. "EXTRAORDINARY GREAT VERSATILITY" of Carie!!! INDESCRIBABLE voice of Carrie!!!

The only one that looked like a mac truck ran over him was Jason Aldean. I thought everybody else was able to hold their own. Jason I don't think was quite ready for the little gorgeous petite woman whose voice and energy was bigger than life that night. I think the smart thing if you are not a rock god/goddess best not do a rock duet w/ Carrie.

WOW!!! Gotta love it. With the exception of Jason though, I do think every duet partner she's had has held their own nicely. However, a large part of that could be that Carrie knows how to work with her voice and adjust it to fit with the person she's singing with. She proves again and again, she has the skills and vocal power to sing with anyone anywhere and sound absolutely awesome everytime. She's incredible.

I think Vince compliments her voice as she sang HGTA because his voice is soft and tender! I think it worked GREAT!!!

You forgot to add Miranda Lambert to that lst! When they sang Traveling Band, Carrie totally overshadowed her!!!

I can't wait to hear Remind Me. Carrie and Brad are such amazing duet partners - their voices go so well together. (See: Make the World Go Away; Oh Love; Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man; their CMA spoof songs...)
