She's a UK based pop singer. Her music isn't exactly well-known but she's garnered quite a bit of critical acclaim. I've never listened to her debut album but I love her sophomore album.

I just never thought I'd see someone like her complimenting Carrie. Just goes to show how respected Carrie really is.

Wow how cool! She is pretty big in the UK, so it is very cool to see her mention Carrie, especially a country song like that. Wow.

Yeah, it's one of her best vocals, imo (I have the cd, lol).

Wow!! I love the cover, and I think it's amazing that Carrie is able to make any song seem like her own.

That's the mark of a truly great artist, and Carrie is the whole package, and more.

^ Nah. But plenty of others did.

There were also a ton of 'why isn't Carrie popular in the UK?' tweets. Clearly some demand over there.

Really surprised since 1. She's listening to "You're Looking At Country", a song that wasn't even played much by US country radios, in the UK; 2. I never thought Lily would like country music.

Lily Allen is a very talented and popular artist in the UK. Her debut single, "Smile", became her breakthrough hit, which not only gave her her first #1 in the UK, but also brought the album "Alright, Still" to Gold in the States. Other hits from the album include "LND" (which means London).

Her second album was even bigger, with "The Fear" breaking a world record for largest jump to #1 on a chart, and it actually is a US Dance #1 and charted on some other formats. The album only scored other hits like "Not Fair", "F**k You", "Who'd Have Known", "22". "Everyone's At It" is my favorite off this album called "It's Not Me, It's You". This album actually debuted and peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on Digital Albums with massive sales coming from iTunes during that week, had she not released the album during Grammy week, she could have been #1 or at least Top 3.

Someone posted on twitter that it was played once about a week ago, I got really excited :P

Also, Joe McElderry, the person who sang There's A Place For Us, tweeted that he has a new found love for Country music and he loves Carrie He said his favourite song is change.
I know not many of you will know who he is but he has 190,000 followers who may check out her videos now

I know "There's A Place of Us" actually did increase Carrie's international fame. It could have been huge had it been released as an international single and be promoted.
