That's such a cute picture! I think it was taken at the 2007 CMT awards
There's lots of pictures of her arrival at the show here: Carrie Underwood
yeah love this pic..her face is too cute!
I think Carrie looks so cute in this!

Oh how smiling faces can deceive one's thoughts and feelings. Nonetheless, nice photo. Thanks for posting.
Cute Photo! Nice Find! Thanks for posting![]()

Her smile does look a little forced. As for water under the bridge, who knows. It isn't water under the bridge for me. I haven't heard LeAnn say anything about Carrie's talent or refute the statement. I hope she has in private.
Leann really isn't one to keep things private (sorry couldn't resist Leann fans over here). Anyways I don't think Carrie's smile is forced. She actually looks a little scared lol.
Their smiles don't seem genuine to me. I don't think Carrie & LeAnn Rimes are friends. Not really a fan of Rimes anyway.
I have it hand it to LeAnn Rimes - her version of Bill Mack's "Blue" was pretty sensational. Also, the build up of the legend about waiting decades to find someone who could match the quality of Patsy Cline was a great lesson in marketing. After that, though I think LeAnn took a different direction.
For anyone interested, here is the 1958 original:
yea the story behind this song is AMAZING ! and as a LeAnn fan we are forever indebted to Bill Mack for choosing LeAnn to sing this song![]()
After her debut album she took a more pop oriented approach (with the successive albums that followed) before becoming a full time pop singer in the early 00s (with the Twisted Angel album and Coyote Ugly soundtracks ..etc) ...and i think Nashville weren't so happy with that too. Personally i think at some level LeAnn choose to sing pop so that she could be more closer to her young fans and being with younger fans meant she got an opportunity to make up for her childhood years -- that she lost singing classic country songs in front of a much older audience. Anyways i'm glad that she choose pop because thats how i first started listening to her and i think it's the same for most international fans as well...so personally i think she took a great direction
and thanks for the wonderful Bill Mack song..this was the song that made me start loving classic country music![]()
Interesting - thanks for those insights, especially the bit about her childhood years, which hadn't struck me
