Country Radio Seminar has announced some of the speakers and events for next year’s conference. Miranda Lambert will be among the opening day speakers on Wednesday, Feb. 19, while Carrie Underwood will take the stage for the annual “CRS Artist Interview” on Friday, Feb. 21.
Warner Music Nashville will once again officially launch CRS, with its kickoff luncheon at 12 p.m. CT, on Feb 19. “Team UMG at the Ryman” will host Thursday’s (Feb. 20) lunch at the Ryman Auditorium, while Big Machine Label Group will lead Friday’s (Feb. 21) luncheon.
Educational panels are already in place and will feature the annual CRS-commissioned research project examining a soon-to-be announced topic; “Maximizing Metrics,” tracking vital consumption data; and “What Leadership Looks Like,” led by RAB CEO Erica Farber. Additionally, “All The Singles Ladies,” and “Separate But Not Equal,” will discuss airplay gender imbalance, and how to better establish career development with female artists.
Early bird registration for CRS 2020 opens Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. CT.

Is CRS the event that used to start off with a boat show?
most of the boat is enclosed and is heated. You can see here

Winters are usually mild here in Nashville granted we have had some crazy winters that are colder and snowier than normal. Usually by February though it starts to warm up a bit and start moving to spring weather!
Carrie should lead ofc with why are t you playing me on the radio anymore? Why do you discriminate against women and in particular women over 30? It’s like they only play 20 somethings.
Carrie will be part of the UMG artist showcase at the Ryman on the afternoon of Feb. 20

she's back at it tomorrow
from a study being presented today at CRS where they interviewed both listeners ( a first) and PDs
"PDs overestimate: The need for companionship, local infoand morning shows."
"Listeners value: Male/female balance, favorite songs, skipping songs, less talk, new music, pop sounding country and
collaborations."

So she will perform tomorrow and interview Friday? It's that right?
^ yes

The fact that "Corporate Mandate" went from not even being on the list to the number 4 reason a song is added in just a few years, says almost everything about radio right now. The only thing they missed was mentioning gender as a deciding factor as well. Also, not buying the "Gut Feeling" reasoning, at all.

With Carrie and Reba now on the same label, I demand a duet! It will be so much easier to get it done.
