I'd be a little cautious about giving UMG most of the credit for these appearances and overseas festival dates. Record labels are mainly concerned with producing, selling and promoting albums - from which they get the bulk of their revenue. They don't typically have much to do with touring - especially in the case of established artists. I should think that it is mainly the artist and her management who plan when and how much overseas appearing and performing they'll be doing, and their booking agents (presumably Creative Artists, unless she's engaged a different outfit Down Under) who pitch the artist's name, wants and availability, and fix up the details of suitable events, that meet her specified priorities, to appear at.

I'm delighted for the Aussie fans - and also glad that's she's continuing to give this market due prominence, as she's already built up strong recognition, and it's an important field of demand for Country.

You can get something of the Country feel of this occasion from the picture of the pick-up trucks. A "Ute" is a typical Down Under abbreviation for a utility vehicle - and they're widely used in the rural areas, as well as becoming a cultural symbol. The "Ute Muster" began as a rally for people who drive them, and traditional-leaning artists, like Lee Kernaghan, have popularized songs about them.

As a side issue, I'm especially pleased to see Kasey Chambers on the bill with Carrie - she's an iconic figure in Aussie Country Music, with a strong international reputation - especially with fans who lean more to the Alt Country side. Her song from the early 2000s, "Not Pretty Enough" was ahead of its time, because it was inspired by the already growing reluctance of Country radio to give women enough airtime.

For anyone interested in exploring, these are some examples of her work

Some strong traditional, Western Swing, influence

    A beautiful ballad

    A religious duet

Another duet, this time with powerful Gothic imagery

Woah I am so surprised she is actually going out there! It's not exactly anywhere near metro Sydney in Australia (it's literally hours and hours away drive, maybe 2 hours flying from metro?).

Awesome though good on her! Great exposure!

It's far for me, and not something I will attend.... but this is great exposure. I am sure there will be some magazines and TV interviews when she is here too!

Hope this means there is a good chance she is coming to Aust for a proper headlining tour for Cry Pretty era!

Deniliquin is the name of the place

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ute_muster

The Deniliquin Ute Muster is the largest event of its kind in the world. It is a stand-alone event which began as a celebration of all things Australian and the Aussie icon of the ute, and has developed into a two-day festival, with live music concerts, ute driving competitions, the Australian National Circle Work Championships TM, show and shine arena, and bull ride.

ETA: Just looked up some past news of the event. They usually averaged around 18k-20k crowd, coming in about 15k utes. Wow that's a lot of utes in one place! Can't get any countrier than this event loll.
