What are your favourite "underrated" Carrie songs?

I thought it might be interesting to see what fans felt were their top tracks, from any of the albums, that have been generally rather neglected or underrated.

To get things started, this was a "top 5" list that Aileen James posted a year or so ago:

Top 5 Most Underrated Carrie Underwood Songs - Queens of Country

You Won't Find This. One of my favorite Carrie tracks ever and it is always forgotten about! The melody is catchy and pretty and the lyrics are actually pretty nice and well-written.

I Just Can't Live a Lie. Also a favorite and it gets even less love than YWFT!

Also Starts with Goodbye, Twisted, Undo It, Look at Me, Unapologize, and Leave Love Alone.

I halfway agree with That's Where It Is, but I don't think Change is underrated. It was a charity single and just didn't belong on an album. It's no better or worse than other charity singles, it's just kinda there. Wine After Whiskey is NOT underrated. It's always gotten all the love it deserves lol. Same with Someday When I Stop Loving You. Good in Goodbye got love when it was released, but it's just kinda been forgotten about and I personally don't think it's all that special -- kinda boring.

Wine After Whiskey should have been a single. Such a great song and missed opportunity. I wish Carrie had included it on her Greatest Hits album as it is the most requested song when fans get to vote for what they want her to perform.

My top five are (in no particular order)
. Good In Goodbye (my favorite song from Blown Away and one of her best cowrites along with TBC)
    . You Won't Find This
. The Night Before (Life Goes On). (For me, this song is even better than most of the story songs Carrie has, it's so relatable!)
. Get Out Of This Town (I don't know if this is considered underrated because she used to sing it on tour. But this song should've been a single!)
. Wheel Of The World. (A lot of people find this song boring, but i love it! The second verse is fantastic! "God put us here on this carnival ride, we close our eyes never knowing where it will take us next. Babies are born and at the same time, someone's taking their last breath")

    From SH:

    That's Where It Is
    We're Young and Beautiful
    I Ain't in Checotah Anymore

    From CR:

The More Boys I Meet (when I heard it recently after several years, I realized how country its production was)

    From PO:

    Quitter
Someday When I Stop Loving You

    From BA:

    Forever Changed
    Cupid's Got a Shotgun
    Leave Love Alone
(For me, all three of these represented a different musical direction for Carrie and that draws me to these songs, although not sure if the latter two count as being underrated.)

    From ST:

The Girl You Think I Am

I also want to mention Carrie's duet with Randy Travis on his Anniversary Collection called Is It Still Over. I think that collaboration has gone more or less unnoticed by most people but remains one of my favourite ones.

TNBLGO - should have been single, would have made a great video
    YWFT - classic
GIG - love this song, it's meaning and the way she sings it
LAM - ( it's a cover but oh so beautiful, she kills it live)
Chaser - on of her best cowrites.Period.

all of these should have been staples in concert and only TNBLGO got any attention, albiet very little

I picked one from every album. I would've picked some like IKYW and WAW but even though they weren't singles, they still get a lot of love.

Oofa why is Change on that list? Probably my least favorite Carrie song ever, haha. I won't comment on Storyteller yet, since who knows what may or may not be appreciated in the future

The Night Before (Life Goes On)
Flat on the Floor - even though she preformed it a lot during the album promotion, I don't think anyone outside of hard core Carrie fans would recognize or know it.
I Know You Won't - same goes ^^ she's preformed it a lot, but it's perfect. I wish she sang it this tour
Someday When I Stop Loving You - so beautiful it hurts
What Can I Say - always has been and always will be my favorite Carrie song. I still can't believe this wasn't a single.

I hope to come back and list some of my underrated ones later, but I just want to say 100% agree about Is It Still Over. I'm still obsessed with it and I don't think I'll ever stop being obsessed with it. I love her voice and the twange she uses in it.

    Good in Goodbye
The Night Before (Life Goes On)
I Ain't in Checotah Anymore (amazing first writing effort!)
    You Won't Find This
Someday When I Stop Loving You
    Look At Me

Bonus song that deserves a mention just because I think it's Carrie's greatest unrecorded track - Oklahoma Wind. =(

I left off tracks from Storyteller since it's too soon to tell which ones will be underrated.

Forever Changed: I just love this song so much. Its about something that a lot of people experience and it written very well. The song being stripped down and the way she sings is perfection.

Someday When I Stop Loving You: They such a well written song and she sounds stunning when she sings it.

Cupids Got a Shotgun/ Leave Love Alone: I like these songs and always make sure and listen to them when listening to Blown Away. CGASG used unique imagery for song about heartbreak.

What Can I Say: The song is so good and singing from Carrie and Sons Of Silvia was so good. Love the lyrics like for example "Empty heart filled with regret, I know we were both to blame". I just think the song is so good.

Thank God For Hometowns: The way she wrote it you can tell she grew up in small town and it reminds me of small town I grew up in.

Good In Goodbye: I like the maturity of the song of looking back on certain relationship.

Little Toy Guns: I like its unique idea to use a "Little Toy Gun" to tell this kind of story.

The Girl You Think I Am: My dad and I have this type of relationship. I can defiantly relate to it and the emotion in it.

Smoke Break: That song is just so relatable for me and it reminds me of people I know too. I love that Carrie did traditional song with her writing stamp. I also like there is song about drinking that's about doing it when you are stressed and want to unwind a little. You don't hear (I don't anyway) a lot of drinking songs like that. To me she wrote that song really well and it was very relatable. I love her Opry performance.

^ Smoke Break and Little Toy Guns aren't really underrated though. They were singles with videos and got attention from the public.

someone up thread mentioned Last Name too which I thought was funny since it was a single, had a video, she still includes it in her set list and Carrie won a Grammy for her performance of it!Doesn't sound too underrated.lol
