    Carrie On the Christmas Charts

I thought it might be fun to keep track of Carries presence during the Holiday Season!
In Southern California we have a station that is very widely know and accepted as the premier holiday station for christmas music through out the season. Carrie gets played well there. So I am always so happy to know that she is part of LA's holiday music list. This is partly why I am still so interested in her doing an actual holiday CD cause it allows for this entire other avenue of exposure that is basically built in year after year.....

How is she doing where you are?
Do you listen to Holiday stations on the radio, do they play Carrie's holiday selections? and which ones?

.....what I love about her interpretations of these carols is that you can understand the meaning of lyrics that are often lost to singers and arrangements that pay no attention to what is being said but instead focus mostly on vocal gymnastics and innovative arrangements..... Here she sings these lyrics as if they are just as literal and important as anything else. And when you do get to hear the lyrics and understand how beautifully poetic they are, it is chilling and beautiful on a whole different level.....

Love it so much. Why has she not done a Christmas album??? It's amazing that she hasn't changed a bit, except for the eye makeup. She never ages.

    Holiday 100 -

Do You Hear What I Hear - #74 / (trending up)

    some honorable mentions-

All I want For Christmas Is You - #1

Michael Buble is a beast a xmas time. Charting like 5 times within the chart.

    Last Christmas - Taylor Swift - #50

Under the Tree - Kelly Clarkson - #64

(all the top 10 are classic xmas songs. sidenote; Amy Grant continues to do very well at xmas time as well)

I love Michael Buble. I saw a tweet wondering why he was not on the Sinatra 100 special, he would be so perfect for that show. I hear that PBS is also doing a salute to Sinatra, so maybe he's on that one.

Yes, you are right. He seems an obvious choice. Not sure, maybe contractual. So much these days have to do with large companies who utilize their "properties" for different things. And if somehow, Buble does not align with the agencies called upon to fill the bill, who knows... But yes, it seems he would have been an obvious choice....

^^ I agree. One of my favorites (ill be honest there is more than couple) is All Is Well. I even watch her sing that Christmas song at different times throughout the year. It just makes me fell good. The fact that she was pregnant when she sang it is amazing.

    ^^ I agree 100%

Two albums that Carrie should really look into doing is Christmas songs and the Standards since we know she can do them so well..... Would make the best Carrie Underwood collection for me.....

I hope she does one as well. The way she sings them is just so beautiful. I'm going to post another one if you don't mind. My mom loves the way she sings Christmas songs. She isn't fan even thought she has complemented her voice and likes couple songs. I was playing this one because its one of my dads favorites. She heard this song along with others. She asked me where she could get her cd. My mom is picky about her Christmas music. That's huge complement to Carrie. I want her Christmas cd as well. I have always liked the way she preformed them. I'm not saying that just because he is one of my favorite singers. I have liked singers but did not care for their Christmas music.

.... yeah it is somewhat frustrating that Carries DYHWIH has become a popular standard, yet no one would know how to find it if they wanted it.

I do think it is on a few christmas compilations though.

...a noteable thing about her placement on this chart:

For as much xmas music that gets generated by mainstream popular recording artists she is among an elite group that continues to get play year after year. this year above her are only a handful of current artists.

    those them:

    Dion
    Grande
    Beiber
    Swift
    Clarkson
    Buble
    Pentatonix
    Carey

I think thats pretty astounding when you think about it.......

A Carrie Underwood Christmas album would be a monster seller. She might be waiting because she wants to write a song or two of her own for a Christmas album.
