Its so hard to say. It so much depends on what direction she wants the project to go.
Bare in mind she intentionally included only religious songs on her last xmas cd.
I can see her doing a mix of stuff but it should also have a theme to it so it stands out as a unique christmas offering.
So many of the standards have been done to death. But you have to include a few.
A few originals in the hopes she can have a perrenial favorite like Kelly is developing with Underneath...
One thing that has not been done by a mainstream artist in a long time is a very "traditional country christmas" album.
That would help it stand out and of course her voice would be gorgeous.
It would limit its appeal to a certain audience, but it might also develope a very devoted audience.
I can't quite see her doing a wholey-secular one like so many are now days. But that would give alot more radio play.
And to, let us not forget, if she actually gets writing credits for a hit holiday that returns every year, the royalites are amazing.
I do hope that she chooses to use alot of her softer side. There are moments on B.Streisands and Bubles albums that are moments of brilliance for their understated beauty. Carrie easily has the voice to pull that off.
I with this most of all........

O Come All Ye Faithful
Away In A Manger

I'll Be Home For Christmas

Away In A Manger
O Come O Come Emmanuel
Baby It's Cold Out Side (Maybe with Brad)
Joy To The World
O Little Town Of Bethlehem

Little Drummer Boy
I would love to hear Carrie sing these songs.
At least O Holy Night and I'm good.
The only song I can think of that I love that is not mentioned I would love Carrie (or anyone I like, haha) is Ding! Dong! Merrilly on High. Oh, and Silent Night just to show Country Music how horrid Taylor Swifts version of it was haha.
I'm with Pk for songs on the softer side. I love her singing Mary Don't You Know. Another cover of Trisha Yearwood's that I love is Sweet Little Jesus Boy. ...and a song with Buble and Vince!
