Any News of the New Duet Carrie Mentioned?

Remember when Carrie said she is doing a duet this year with someone who was at the CMAS 2012? We guessed it might be Willie Nelson as he was there, and he is putting out a new Duets Album with female singers called "To All the Girls I've Loved Before" or something like that. A few names were announced so far but no Carrie yet-- but they only announced 2 or 3 names so far.

Anyway-- Willie just released a different album recently, and I read that he is releasing this second album later in the year but I have no idea when.

Curious if anyone knows? I just feel like it must be Willie. TX.

I hope this happens. A duet with Willie would bring Carrie a wonderful opportunity.
Willie has a long record of duets with people from all genres. He did a whole duet album with Kimmie Rhodes
Here's a well known example with Lee Ann Womack that became a radio single:

Oh I adore that song with Leanne Womack! Love them both. Agree that this is going to be a great Duets album that I plan to buy.

I really hope Willie is who Carrie meant.

Willie would be cool. I would love to see her do a duet with a female.

You got me missing Lee Ann Womack. Man, I wish she'd come back with new music.

It doesn't seem like it's been that long since that song came out, but it sounds like an eternity ago compared to what the ACMs sounded like. I guess George Strait was the only traditional country represented. My how things change.

While this is better than nothing, I'd like to see her do another more mainstream duet rather than the type she's done with the likes of Tony Bennett and Randy Travis.

Here's an article on Willie Nelson's duets album, Windmills tweeted the link. Barbra Streisand, Loretta Lynn, Rosanne Cash, Alison Krauss, Norah Jones and Miranda Lambert were mentioned, but no mention of Carrie. I hope they're just keeping Carrie's involvement as a surprise lol.

ZOMG I actually tweeted Carrie a few months ago saying she should cover Willie's "Crazy" . Don't think she read it tho. She'd sound like an angel singing that song. But of course, she can sing anything and still sound like an angel lol

I was thinking about this also recently. I wonder why we haven't heard more about it? It's been quite awhile since Carrie mentioned this. I don't think it's Willie with all those other females mentioned.

for some reason the article did not show up, but I bet Carrie is on it if Miranda and all those people are.

Apparently someone said that the duets album is coming out in 2014, as his other album just came out this month.

But maybe it is still later in 2013? or early 2014?

Actually I do think it is Willie, because the entire album is Duets with Women, so he will need like 14 songs and 14 duet partners, for a full album.

The article only mentioned a sample of ladies, but I bet Carrie is part of it.

This quote clearly states that there will be many more women then the ones listed in the article:

We cut most of the tracks in Nashville with people like Barbra Streisand, Loretta Lynn, Rosanne Cash, Alison Krauss and Norah Jones," Nelson says. "Miranda Lambert and I just did one of the last songs that Waylon [Jennings] wrote. I'm looking forward to singing with all the girls in Nashville if I get a chance."

He said with "people like" so and so, but he did not say those were the only ladies.
