Opening Night of Blown Away Tour: discussion Thread

I thought we should start a thread for the tour to discuss the setlist costumes etc.

Is anyone going to opening night? If so - please keep track of the setlist and whether she plays guitar/piano again.

The thing is - once we have the tour setlist we will know which songs off BA will be eliminated as potential singles. They always do all the future singles as part of the setlist so that will make it much easier to predict the singles.

Lol i really hope she drops ms too. It was great last tour cuz she played piano and did the photos of mike and her Mom. I loved it. But she cannot do that again twice so i would prefer she moves on to new ballads like WAW or GIG over MS.

imo, while I do hope WAW is released, I don't think it'll be for a while so there's a chance it won't be on the set list quite yet. especially if this is a real uptempo show. I can see it being added the second leg tho.

I think NETY is a sure thing at this point to be on the setlist. She has performed that song everywhere.
I want to see her sing WAY live because I think it would really raise the song to a new level. I don't want it to be a single though.
TGFH is one of my favorites . I think it could be a nice quiet moment in the set. The song really shows Carrie's growth as a artist.

I know this isn't popular opinion, but I wouldn't mind if she cut Wasted for this tour. She kills it live, but if it came down to us getting another tour with Wasted or one of the new songs, I'd pick the new song. She could cut ITYS as well. She made it extra-special last time with the Randy video, and I don't think there is a way to top that.

I am thrilled she has a song like Leave Love Alone for the setlist as it is so rootsy and uptempo but in a different way from LN/UI/CC/GG/BHC. Leave Love Alone is upbeat but in a chilled out rootsy way that I love. The more country people in the crowd will appreciate it I think.

Alot of Carrie's upbeat songs are the same type of theme-- bad boy edgy songs-- and I love them all. lol But I really think people need a change of pace sometimes- especially on radio. That is why I hope DYTAM is next. It will surprise everyone because she never releases light happy songs to radio anymore. lol Not since AAG. lol

I didn't mean medley for all past hits. I just meant for some of the lesser known ones. She of course would need to keep in a full length BHC, JTTW, and So Small. I was thinking more along the lines of a medley for songs like DFTRM, MS, JAD, and a few others.

I think she will keep full versions of several of her past hits. She seems to really like performing JAD, so I can see her keeping it.

Carrie is at an interesting point where she has so many hits, plus the new album material, and a few fan favorite album tracks that need to be fit in somehow. It will be exciting to see what she leaves out, and what gets to stay in rotation.
She only left out a few songs from PO when she toured for that album, so I would imagine BA will be the same thing.

I know there are people (and I am not one of them!) that wants to keep the concert a surprise. I want to know everything! I hope from BA - WAW, Cupid, GIG (I know everyone doesn't like it but I love it ), DYTAM & I would love her to sing FC but I know that won't happen. Of course I want GG, BA & TBC.

Imagine the costumes and stage props for Two Black Cadillacs. ha ha Carrie said she has very dramatic costumes so I bet that is one of them.

This is going to be really cool.

Even though the tour is not a sellout I do believe she will end up selling more tickets in the end then the PO tour because she is doing bigger venues, or opening up more seats in the venues she is doing. So I don't think we should judge ticket sales by the fact that they are not sold out.
