I quite like NETY. Sure, the lyrics are a bit cheesy, but I love the arrangement of it, the African flavour (as someone above pointed out), and I love the message. And it's a message that Carrie clearly believes to her core, one that I think is a great thing to sing to this type of audience.

Ok I guess NETY is appropriate for this event, as it is sort of an inspirational charity song--but she is doing it for the Muscular Distrophy labor day show too, from a taped performance at the opry. So I am wonder if this is the next single since it is being played so much? Unless it is just her new charity type song for such occasions? It does fit nicely to be honest.
I love the melody of the song sooooooooooooo much--- especially the island reggae instruments--- but I am just not as fond of this song as others on the cd. I like it alot- I just don't want it to be a single.
But perhaps this will be like Change: her go to song for charity events. That is perfectly fine.
the melody to this song at the end with the strings and reggae elements, na na nas, is superb. That part of the song is so good....

Ok so the plot thickens. Since David Wild is tweeting live pics of Carrie Josh Groban and others there tonight-- it makes me think Carrie is there today after all, for the taping, with her Mom.
She must be flying out to NYC on a red eye.
There is a press line that Garth is on, though, and so far no pics of Carrie there, so perhaps she taped her song a bit earlier, then flew out and missed the press line?

Pretty sure this was filmed 8/4/12 before the Opry show that night backstage in the Opry studios. Carrie's mom was there along with Carrie's whole entourage and a HD filming truck. Carrie should be wearing a short yellowish skirt with the red jacket/top thingy.@Wildaboutmusic
