Time for another ranking game! This one is all about the awesome covers Carrie has done since winning Idol. For the purposes of this ranking, I didn't include Christmas songs because we can do a separate game for those later.
Basically, it is a ranking of Carrie's covers of other artists' songs from her concert tours, Idol finale and Idol Gives Back performances, special events, and albums. If Carrie has done a song both as a duet and as a solo performance, I included both versions on the list. I also included the three different duets she has done of Go Your Own Way. The two performances of How Great Thou Art are also both on the list.
Videos for each of the performances are fairly easy to find on Youtube.
If you feel that I am missing a cover, please let me know.
Update to the voting system: People don't seem to want to rank all the songs, so just send me your top 10. I'll figure out a points system for the results.

Is anyone interested in doing this?
Sin Wagon was my favorite cover. Wish she would record it.
I loved Alone at the iHeart Concert thing. She sounded so mature and awesome!
The other one that I keep listening to is Remember When - Opry.
And I love the HGTA at the GNO (I also love her just singing it at the Opry)
Those are my top 3 for now![]()
she covered Voices Carry
can we just do our top 10?
I'll Stand By You (Idol)
Alone (iHeart)
How Great Thou Art (ACM Girls’ Night Out)
Bless The Broken Road (Studio Sessions)
Remember When (Opry)
Make The World Go Away (w/Brad Paisley @ '08 ACMs)
Neon Moon (ACM Brooks & Dunn)
Paradise City (solo-live)
Fix You (live)
Whiskey Lullaby (w/Brad Paisley- live)
To me, for country song, "Neon Moon" is the BEST. It suits her voice perfectly ! For Rock / Pop: "Alone". For Gospel: "How Great Thou Art".
Alright, since people aren't interested in ranking everything, make a list of your top 10. Post it or pm it to me. In order for me to count your vote though, you must list a top 10. It won't work if some people give me a top 10 list while others only give me top 3 lol.
If some people actually want to post their ranking of all 62, go ahead. I put a lot of work into getting the list together, so it would be awesome if some people ranked all of them.
I have no idea how to start ranking these... no way could I even pick a #1.. I'll try though.![]()
I'm going to rewatching all the covers, but I'll rank them
all. Just bear in mind it may take some time. lol.
Dear Lord, this is a huge list. This isn't based on overall performance, right? Just on the vocals? I'll go listen to them and send you my rankings.![]()
It's really more of a personal preference kind of thing lol. The performances that may be great for you might not be as great for someone else. Just rank them according to your tastes, and send it in.
Your list for the AI performance rankings was really quite different from the other lists I got, so I'm excited to see how you'll rank the covers.
I didn't wanna wussy out, and since I was staying up all night anyway, I just watched these videos all night! It really does take forever, so I understand you people only doing a top 10 list. Plus, if you don't have Vinman's cap of CMT Crossroads, you're kind of screwed.
She's Leaving Home isn't available on YouTube. You can listen to it here, though. She's Leaving Home (American Idol 6).mp3 - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download - Julya Damian
I included the other Walk This Way, too, if you don't mind. I wish Carrie sang more than just one line on Super Bass so that it would count. x)
1. How Great Thou Art (Opry)
2. Sweet Child O' Mine (I HATE the one with the acoustic intro, though. I love the 2010 one -- more than the original.)
3. Look At Me

5. You're Looking At Country
6. Desperado
7. Neon Moon
8. Bless the Broken Road
9. Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man
10. Paradise City (with Jason Aldean -- would've scored higher if she included the outro and Jason didn't exist)
11. Home Sweet Home
12. How Great Thou Art (GNO -- even Jennifer Nettles is impressed: "What a voice.")
13. November Rain (even with the wrong lyrics lol. I wish she'd do the full one live, complete with a piano.)
14. Whiskey Lullaby
15. Travelin' Band (she oughta do more songs like this)
16. San Antonio Rose
17. She's Leaving Home
18. Walk This Way (ACMs)
19. I Told You So
20. Make the World Go Away

I assumed that where Crossroads was so recent that people would remember well enough to rank them lol.
Thanks for ranking the full list, Nicole.
My list is based off personal favorites. I find it harder (and less enjoyable) to rank them on her personal best. This is a partial list for now:

My Top Ten , For now:
1. NEON MOON (IMO HER BEST VOCAL EVER, JUST ABSOLUTELY PERFECT)
2 I'LL STAND BY YOU (IN A WORD, BEAUTIFUL)
3. HOME SWEET HOME
4. I TOLD YOU SO (ONE OF CARRIE'S NEAR PERFECT VOCALS)
5. PRAYING FOR TIME
6. LOOK AT ME
7. DOES HE LOVE YOU (TERRIFIC DEBUT IN FRONT OF HER PEERS)
8. SWEET CHILD OF MINE ( SHE STUNNED ALL OF US WHEN SHE INCLUDED IT ON HER FIRST SET LIST)
9. STAND BY YOUR MAN
10. HOW GREAT THOU ART
Ah. I looked for the first ten pages and didn't see it. Thanks.
I don't even know why the CMT Crossroads videos aren't working. I would think watching all of the videos, including the CMT ones, at one time would make the list more accurate, though, since you won't just be going by memory.![]()
I love how seriously you take these ranking games, worrying about accuracy lol. It is what is. Some people, like yourself, are deeply concerned about making your rankings as accurate as possible, while others are just going to pick their personal favorites.
I don't know why you couldn't find the video for She' Leaving Home. All I had to do to find it was search "carrie underwood she's leaving home". It was the first video that popped up. Weird.
Although, I love all Carrie's songs I will just pick my favorite five.
How Great Thou Art (ACM Girls’ Night Out)
Home Sweet Home (Idol)
Voices Carry (Live)
Remember When (Opry)
Chasin that neon rainbow (w/ Craig Morgan - live)
