According to Windmills, here is a demo of a Carrie co-write:
@WindmillsMusic
Pretty sure this is the demo of River Bank Song cowritten by Ashley Gorley, Kelley Lovelace, & Carrie Underwood River Bank Song by Combustion Music on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free
I thought you all might like to hear it.![]()
who is that singing? She sounds fanastic
also be sure not to post this over at the fan club, if you post it there carrie would know (sooner) that the demo/song got leaked, and won't put it on an album, or let anybody else put it on an album. (remember what happen with Oklahoma Wind)
It's already all over Twitter, so Ann isn't the first to post it!!! I think it's very pretty. The Illinois River is a very popular place to go, and float down the river. It is real close to Carrie's college, so I would bet..that she spent alot of happy days there!!
Tbh, I'm not a big fan. I found it kind of boring. I think it's mostly the melody that's not grabbing me.
Is someone ripping this in case it's taken down?
I don't think it would be thought of as a leak. It's been posted by Combustion Music, which is the organization that one of the writers, Ashley Gorley, belongs to. Once it's published, I think he's acting within his rights to promote his songs.
"Oklahoma Wind" was different, in that Carrie objected to one of her own work tapes being released.
Where's Liatush? She could rip it!! Please, someone?!!
Not a fan....Very recycled tune, although the idea's a little different.
Reminds me stronglyof Faith's Mississippi Girl/
Ripping this![]()
I LOVE this kind of music...If Carrie doesn't sing it, I hope someone who has a good voice does
![]()

I love that song and can hear Carrie's voice singing it. We'd probably love a cd full of all the songs she didn't put on BA.
I also love this type of song - easy to listen to and not one you get tired of listening to.
This is a great song. It sounds pretty. I like it. It's great that Carrie is co-writing lots of material. Thank you for posting, Ann055.![]()
Carrie probably wouldn't care because it's not her voice on it. Otherwise, we wouldn't've gotten Change or SWISLY.
Meh, I like it. I'm not crazy about it. I like the concept, but I don't know. It doesn't quite click.
love this. Carrie has some SERIOUS writing skills.
Mississippi Girl? How so? I don't hear any connection to that song at all.
I like this. It has a nice feel to it, and I could hear it on the radio. I hope either Carrie records it for an album or another female singer records it. I like Jason's suggestion of Lauren Alaina. She would sound great on it.
I love this! Thanks for posting! So beautiful, so sweet and so nostalgic!![]()
