I was able to take some video on my phone and camera, but since it was dark and I was sitting pretty far away, any pictures came out blurry. I will try my best to see what I can do with the videos, but I really only recorded the songs and you can here everyone around me talking, how dare they right??!!! But oh my goodness, her vocals were SPOT on. She has definitely done all that cardio she was talking about in order to run around on stage! She also looked adorable! As you can all see in the pictures, the Bob Dillan shirt, a bright pink undershirt, green shorts and cowboy boots. LOTS OF LEGS! She ended up starting about 25 minutes late, we're still unsure why, but when the lights went out, the band started playing an instrumental combination of blown away and good girl, leaving it a mystery (well maybe just to me as everyone else didnt seem to care haha) as to what she would start with. The band then broke into Good Girl. She rocked it out. I am so proud at how much better she has gotten singing it while performing. Flat on the Floor and Wasted were next which were awesome flashbacks. It's amazing how her voice has gotten better, who knew that was even possible. But on these older songs, she sounds even better then she ever did, and I've seen her 3 times before yesterday. This was when she finally started talking and joking with us. Asked if we could turn on the air conditioning, said they were glad to be there and that they were glad we were there. She was so funny. Two Black Cadillacs came soon after that and it was SOO awesome. I hope someone has a video to it, because you all need to hear it. Ill just touch on the new songs since this is starting to be a novel. But, Leave Love Alone was great, she said its her favorite because it makes her want to dance. She ended up doing Nobody Ever Told You, Do You Think About Me, and One Way Ticket kind of sitting down with her band sitting around her. I thought it was an interesting approach. The one thing that worries me about the first two is that no one knows them yet, and they are kind of slower upbeat songs, so to me it seemed like she lost the audience. Even on One Way Ticket, because it wasn't the whole band, loud and in your face, nobody seemed into it. I guess that will just take people learning the songs! To me, they were awesome! I can't believe she does the whistling on One Way Ticket. Once people know it, the "raise your hands in the air tonight" part will be great! I told the kid sitting next to me that she had a carribean sounding song and when she was done with it, he said he was going to buy it! Blown away was also fantastic. Just like on the Billboard Awards, she sang the first distant blown away, and holy crap, its amazing in person. One thing I thought was funny, was that when she first sat down to sing some songs, she said she was sorry she didn't but The Night Before Life Goes On in the set list because it has LSU in it....Tomorrow she'll be rolling down I-10 Baton Rouge, LSU....Everyone went crazy but it was nice that she recognized it, does anyone remember if she's ever performed that live? I couldnt. Alright, I think that's it for now, I hope someone can post videos soon. Sorry for the long response but I look forward to posting more!!
