"Blown Away" Listening Party Thread: Warning: SPOILERS.

I love the part of "See you Again"when it gets really quiet towards the end and she starts singing....Til I see you again...I will carry..you with me ...this is one of my personal favorites.

Her falsetto during the bridge gets me every time. "Sometimes I feel my heart is breaking. But I stay strong, and I hold on, 'cause I know..."

I remember thinking that there would never be a song on a Carrie album I liked more than Oklahoma Wind. I was so bitter about that never being on an album. But I finally found one, and it's Two Black Cadillacs.

"Two Black Cadillacs" is basically confirmed as being a single based on what was said at the private listening party. They said they already have a shortened-outro version for radio.

They would be crazy not to release it. It could potentially be her biggest hit ever! I think it's the best song she's ever recorded. I even like it more than JTTW and BHC - and that's saying A LOT!

BA and TBC are easily up with JTTW and BHC in terms of quality. obv commercial success has yet to be seen but heres to them smashing!

The beauty of Carrie Underwood is that when she sings a country song, she sounds country, and when she sings non country songs, her country sound is totally GONE !

I feel the same way. I think since it's fun and relaxing, it could go big on country, Hot AC, and dare I say it, top 40? It seems like a great summer song. It would be ideal to have it as the second single, but since Blown Away is confirmed, that's not gonna happen. I'm wondering if they'll wait til next summer?

Yeah, I mean it's very summery so to release it any other time of the year wouldn't make sense. Since BA is pretty much confirmed for single #2, I think we'll be waiting until next summer for OWT, but as long as it gets released I'm fine with that.

Yeah, for singles right now, I'm thinking:

1. Good Girl
2. Blown Away
3. One Way Ticket
4. Cupid's Got a Shotgun
5. See You Again/Do You Think About Me
6. Wine After Whiskey

That is, assuming they go to 6 singles.
Having said that, Two Black Cadillacs is one of my favourites so far, but I don't think it'd be the best single choice. (Long song, it's not overly country...) I love it and wouldn't be upset if it was a single, but that's why I don't put it here.

Carrie said they have already made a radio edit for TBC.

I have a feeling the label isn't going to release the 'safe' songs this time around; "Good Girl" was a big departure for Carrie & BA (the rumored second single) continues the pattern. BA is unlike anything Carrie has done, but like GG, it isn't very country. It's dark, dramatic, and different and that's the image the label seems to be going for this time around.

If TBC is a single down the line it probably won't be released for awhile, but I have a feeling we'll see it as a single. Artista also loves to release Carrie's cowritten songs, and since the pattern seems to be continuing AND it's dark and dramatic, it sounds like a strong single contender to me.

I feel like See You Again is one of those songs they could release just to Pop/HAC, maybe while Cupid's Got a Shotgun or something was climbing on Country. Like she did with Some Hearts... but hopefully See You Again would do better than that, lol.

Do you guys think BA or TBC would be able to crossover? Their sound is definitely pop radio friendly but I'm not sure about their subject matter. Pop radio tends to be all lets get drunk and do stupid stuff. Not that much that has substance. It's like 10 Pitbull songs and then they'll throw in an Adele record for good taste. BA's subject matter is definitely country. TBC might have a better chance. IDK.

LOL definitely. I don't think the lyrics would fit it. Are they telling the hippo she's beautiful, or...? :P

I think they will release BA and see how it goes. GG has sold great but looks to be slowing on the Country chart. I do think GG will pick the pace back up on the chart with the Album release. If BA does well, I think they might release TBC, but if it doesn't get recieved well I think they will go for traditional safe songs for the rest of the singles.

"Independence Day" not even top 10.

I definitely think there's potential there. They aren't surefire crossovers, but I could see it happening. For some strange reason, I think Blown Away would have a better chance at it than Two Black Cadillacs. I'd love for them to give it a go, at least.

That's right everything doesn't have to be a # 1, sometimes (Mama's Song) the song means a great deal to the artist.

I have to agree with all american girl, I am not loving BLOWN AWAY the song that much yet. My favorites are TBC, NETY, WAW, GIG, OWT (this song is just so funny..lol).

I am not crazy about BA bc I feel the chorus and the verses sounds like two seperate songs. Love the subject matter but not loving it yet, GREAT SONG THOU!!!
