^But Brad does not have a large fan base to vote, so I dont think it would matter much either way lol
we should vote for good girl if it makes it into the top 5 according to the tasteofcountry poll where you pick who you think is going to win (and this poll only counts your vote once) good girl is in the lead with 22.52% and remind me is in 3rd with 13.41%
If we as a fanbase can't decide which video to vote for, Carrie will lose either way. People need to get together and pick one or the other. I don't honestly understand why it is that difficult of a decision: we are Carrie fans, so shouldn't we be voting for Carrie's video, not Brad's?
I love Brad, but if both RM and GG are on the ballot tomorrow for the final 5, let his fans worry about voting for RM. We have done are part to help out RM when it was on the charts, but now Carrie is back with her own solo stuff. I feel we should support her.

Oh man I can't wait! GG is one of my favorites and I think it will be perfect to showcase that she needs to win at the CMT Awards!
I agree we have to vote for Good Girl ! RM its now a old video , and GG its Carrie last video so we have to support Carrie ! Will be better for GG to win than RM ! ITS TIME FOR CARRIE OWN STUFF WIN A LOT OF AWARDS AGAIN !

First off, nothing will stop me for supporting Carries lead single from her incredible album that she is so happy and satisfied with. I'm really surprised some would vote against it regardless of strategies.
But with regard to strategies:
You have Carries fans (big)- you have Brads fans (moderate)- and you have the casual vote (big).
To me, the casual votes will got in the direction of GG without a doubt. It is more diverse, colorful, upbeat, newer, fresher, contemporary, female driven,.....there is a long list of why I think the casual voter would pick GG over RM.
Then you hav the Brad fans (moderate) sure, lets just assume they will all go with RM.
Then you have the Carrie fans. If we all go with our heart and go with GG, it stands a much better chance of winning than RM. If we go in undecided and Carries fans vote all over the place, it's likely that neither will win. Other fans committed votes with causal votes will trump Carrie or Brad.
As a fan base it not only makes sense to support our Carrie (which I will do regardless), but it would create a much stronger support for GG to win than RM.
You have to accept that there are Carrie fans that will not Unitedly decide to vote against GG. It just won't happen. But if those of you who would vote for RM would just commit to Carrie than we are at a full support system.
Seems obvious to me.
And if we lose then, it will be with the knowledge that we supported Carrie fully.
If I voted for RM and lost both? I would be mad at myself.
Can't let that happen. I would rather lose voting for Carrie than win one for Brads album.
Which brings to mind. A vote for RM is a potencial sale loss for Blown Away! And a WIN for RM means more sales loss for BA.
Nope!
Truthfully there is no rule that you have to perform the nominated song. This is the cmts not grammys so anything goes. Lol
Several artists often perform new singles at these events.
So i just find it a surprising choice.
I disagree that remind me is only brads song as it was carries too and counts as her number one too.
Plus voting against brads fanbase is voting against ourselves too and cancelling each other out.
But i already got shot down and slammed by most people here for my opinion on this so i won't say anymore. Lol. I will vote with the carrie video that makes the top 5-- assuming one does.
There is no way that both Remind Me and Good Girl made the top 5. We cancelled one or both out already by voting against brads team and fans instead of helping each other.
So this is a non issue. We will hopefully make the top 5 with one video but there is no way we have enough votes to have both videos crack the top 5. There is alot of competition as it is -- and carrie was shut out of the top 5 before.
So i will just vote for whatever video makes the ltop 5- and pray we didnt cancel both out.

IF Sony already has a road map for the BA era, than they already know when and how they are going to use BA. It's very likely it will be used effectively in future events.
They may also still feel like there is life left in GG on the "mainstream" market.
So more exposure on a "pop" stage like CMT (owned by MTV) is a logical choice. As opposed to jumpping on to BA and then in 4 months she will be facing the same dilema of perfoming BA too many times.

The CMT Awards are basically a big party, and GG is the most rockin' song on the album. It makes sense to perform it at this event. Furthermore, there will likely be a mention in the introduction of the performance that the song went #1 this week. Artists tend to keep it fun and light at this show, and BA is not a fun or light song. It is dark and heavy in subject matter.
Well since Good Girl spent 9 weeks at #1 on the CMT countdown, I would think that Good Girl would be the logical choice -- both for performing and voting for. As has already been pointed out upthread, since GG spent so many weeks at the top, I would think that would indicate that it had some casual voters as well as the diehard ones. My vote will be for Good Girl!

I love Remind Me, but if we are voting for video of the year, there is no choice. Remind me was a nice video, but just not on the same level as Good Girl. There were many fans that just did not get the whole analogy of the Remind Me video and felt it was just a showcase for Carrie's legs. A lot of folks really wanted the video shot more from a reality standpoint, even if they had to hire actors. I feel like if I were to vote for Remind Me, I would be throwing away my vote. There is another chance to vote for the duet if I remember right......just not as video of the year.
Well since BA was just performed at two big events -- Idol
And BMAs-- it might be overkill to perform it at the cmt awards too.
But i hope they do not wait till cmas to perform BA as by then it willbe old news and they will need to promote single 3.
I'm excited for Carrie's performance of Good Girl. Its going to be awesome. I hope she walks away with some awards. Good luck, Carrie! I'm happy to hear that Mike will accompany her to the award ceremony. Its nice that he gets to support her.![]()
According to https://twitter.com/#!/CUnews4Fans Carrie is "changing up" her performance of GG for the awards. (I don't know why the last half of this is in italics....)
