Predictions on week 1 sales? Total album sales?

Hard to believe the time is actually almost here. Its been too long. I've taken a guess on first week sales on another thread already, but I think the total album sales will be very close to Play On (1.5 million to 2.2 million). It really is impossible to tell though I believe this early in the game. Right now I just want to hear those songs.

What i really care about is the album quality to be honest.

I hope BA will match CR's and SH's quality . Not that i say PO was bad, It's just not up there with CR and SH.

And about the sales. If Carrie promotes like crazy, i think it will debut around 280-340k. And hopefully it will pass 2 million in total.

The approach on BA has been so much different. I know Carrie is very intelligent and I believe she has given much thought to the direction this album is taking. She is not made of stone. I am sure that it hurts her to be overlooked for awards and more than the awards, being given lackluster reviews has to make her rethink what she is doing and what she wants. When you read between the lines, things Carrie has said and her new bio, i think she is going about this era using every tool she has. She is showing her diversity, tackling difficult songs, and even doing some songs with a more country vibe. I think Carrie is pulling out all the stops. I think she is determined to silence her critics and claim her rightful spot at the top. She has put up with a lot. Even though her first number ones came a little easily, she knows how much work goes into success now. It looks to me like she has a real stratagy going on. A little something for everyone on the new album. She is making the leap going international, and with all of her success is still grounded in country music. This is something that all of us fans have been waiting for. Carrie seems to have found an inner core of steel, yet keeping her humility. I have such a positive feeling about BA. All of the early reviews have not only been positive, but remarkable. I think the album title will be appropriate as I think she will be blowing away fans as well as critics. Those of us that love Carrie and her music have been waiting for the kitten to grow claws and I think this might be it. This is going to be a very exciting time and all of her haters are either going to end up eating their words or just fighting a losing battle against a tide of Carrie love.

I must agree. There were more songs on PO that I skipped over than I listened to. On SH, I loved and listened to each song. On CR, I only skipped over 1 or 2 songs. PO just wasn't up to par for me. I feel like PO was rushed. JMO

I hope Carrie has great success with Blown Away. I have a good feeling about this though. The response has been positive so far. I think with an international release, the album could do really well. I hope Carrie reaches No.1 on the albums chart. May 1st is almost upon us!
