Oh ignore some of the delusional people who post here. Look man, i would take someone objective like you over the delusional fans who feel the need to pass a carrie litmus test and are so blinded that they think 100% of everything Carrie does is best on earth and if you dare to sway from this then you must not be a fan. Its objective rational people and fans that makes people great. Imagine a life where people around you tell you daily how great you are and everything you do is perfect. Under these circumstances it would be IMPOSSIBLE to grow. Rational objective people are great. Delusional litmus people are not.
If you like Shania Twain's music, and hope to see similarities in Carrie's, of course there's nothing wrong with saying it. I'm certainly not trying to stop Carrie's music striking chords in other fan's memories of styles they appreciate. By the same token, though, you can't expect those styles, or any other artist's approach to Country Music, to strike the same positive note for everyone. I'd rather hear Carrie's new work without that comparison at the back of my mind. Don't worry though, I shall!![]()

The same concerns were/ are expressed about Kelly Clarkson's releases and of course Taylor Swift. Everyone's opinion is valued as long as we all remember that they're opinions. Thanks for sharing yours.
Look the bottom line is as long as Carrie's boy bashing songs go platinum she will continue to release them and frankly its common sense to do so. BHC,CC,LN,etc all went platinum and GG i think its safe to say will also go platinum.
Having GG impacting radio on 2/27 will give it a nice full week. Amazon stating its availability date of 2/28 (before taking it down) sets the stage for a full week of radio play AND sales. Looking forward with great anticipation as to how GG will do in its debut week!
It won't let me play it, on amazon, it pulls up but it doesn't have the sample. Anybody else having problems like this?
My cousins and me LOVE IT. And we are ALL EXCITED ABOUT the "2012 Live Concert Tours"!!! WE WILL BE ROCKING THE MULTIPLE CITIES!!! We have a family reunion again in Seattle, Washington. We hope Carrie comes back at "Comcast Arena, Everett, Washington". We love the food in the VIP Dinner over there, during Carrie's "Play On Live Concert Tours".
I sure am excited for this single as I'm sure most everybody on here is.
A few may have expressed less than the happiest reaction to the 30 sec. clip but it's just how they feel. It's not like they don't like Carrie or that they're trying to be nitpicky just for the sake of it. I don't understand how not loving it to death equals being "negative". Comparisons are inevitable as each will have their own perspectives and views. They're not any less of a Carrie fan if they're not over the moon about something Carrie does. There are all different fans here on the forum so there will be different views. What would make this forum a positive place is to embrace and accept differing views with grace and respect -putting down someone's view because they don't love something as much as you isn't so "positive", is it?
As for me, I have to say that I'm very pleased with what I heard from the 30 sec. preview - been on repeat for the longest time-and I can't wait for the full version. Go Good Girl!
Seems to me dearest that you were having a bad day so you wanted to come around here & pass it on to everyone else. NO ONE here, to the best of my knowledge, had anything to do with the outcome of your day. Your opinion of the song is fine, no one has a wrong opinion, it is just an opinion.
I think you hit the nail on the head! And I agree, if you listen to some of the lyrics she's trying to convince the girl that the guy isn't good and if she would just remove the haze created by her love for him she'd be able to see that too....yeah. The clip is great. I really love what I heard. I love the arrangement. I love Carrie's vocals.

Thanks For Letting Us Know!!! I Love It!!!
If that line "you'd better get to getting on your goodbye shoes, and go!" is the singer advising herself to get out of the relationship and move on, I think it ties in well with the cover art we've seen.
In that photo, the singer-character appears to be moving, or about to move, out of the picture, but at the same time, is looking back over her shoulder. That look can easily be interpreted as a mixture of regret and disdain. Very appropriate, I think, to the mood of that part of the clip.
First off, yes i would love to see Carrie grow and branch outside of the boy bashing singles. Hopefully she will do this on the new album. I would like to see a free and easy type of positive song along with a song that tells a story. Think Reba. Also, i think its rather clear this is another boy bashing song and she has already released boy bashing songs like BHC, LN and CC. This is the 4th boy bashing single off of the 4th album. If i am looking at this on a marketing standpoint it makes sense since the prior 3 went platinum. The sounds from the 30 second clip sound more mild than the prior 3 so this is a good thing but the overall message is the same. Carrie needs to branch out b/c this shows growth and maturity. Afterall, she is no young chicken anymore and reaching 30. With time people grow and if they dont then well that is a major problem. I am hoping with this album she grows as an artist. We shall see.
OK, Ron. Whatever. Yes, I'm having a bad day, but no, I did *not* intend to "pass it on" to other people. I was just simply stating what I thought.
But, hey, you want me to be happy go lucky and fake and go along with everyone else, just for the sake of "keeping that good old positive energy"? Fine, I can do that:
Like, OMG, Good Girl is like, the best song I've ever heard, and like, it's awesome, and I've never heard anything like it before!!!! Sounds like Cowboy Casanova?? WHAT??!! No way does it ever sound like CC! Oh no, that's foolish to think that! Cowboy Casanova -- oops, I mean Good Girl -- is going to do wonderful at radio!!!! Yay!!!! Rainbows and butterflies and unicorns and glitter!! Woo hoo!!!!
right back at ya.![]()
