    46th ACM Nominations

So on the ACM website, they officially announced that the nominations will be released in early February, which is right around the corner.
    Academy of Country Music

So what categories are we expecting Carrie to get nods in? We can't get the Album nomination because PO was nominated last year. Here's my predictions for anything Carrie could/should get nominated for.

*Entertainer of the Year (remember that there's 8 nominees in this category now, and with her being a 2x winner and having a huge year behind her, it really improves the chances )
*Female Vocalist of the Year (her, Miranda, Taylor, Reba, and _______ -- Martina? Kellie? Laura Bell Bundy? Trisha? LeAnn Rimes? Lee Ann Womack? That final slot is a real question mark.)
*Song of the Year, "Temporary Home" (remember that CC was nominated last year, so I think TH has a really good shot this year)
--Note that if she got this nod, she'd get 2 nominations for being a composer/songwriter and the artist
*Single of the Year, "Undo It" (one of the biggest Country singles this year, along with "The House That Built Me" and "If I Die Young")
*Music Video of the Year, "Temporary Home", "Undo It", or "Mama's Song" (I've got my hopes high for this category. She's had 3 fantastic music videos this past year, and while the ACMs usually don't go for live videos, UI was very tastefully done. Also, Carrie's a past winner of this category and has been nominated for other strong songs [BHC, JAD], so I'm banking on a nomination. I don't know which video though, but it doesn't matter to me. )

That's my predictions and reasoning behind each of them.

^ I agree with all of them, for video of the year I'm really torn though! Theyre all so good! I cant wait for these nominations, I cant believe its already almost time to think about them. If she does get that many nominations that would be amazing, especially since her album is already a year and a half old

    My predictions:

EOTY: (Just look at the year she's had! I honestly think that Carrie would have one at least the one out of the two times she has won it if it wasn't voted by the fans. Nevertheless, she deserved it both times - whether voted by the fans or not - and she deserves it again. )
TFVOTY: (After the year of headlining the Play On Tour, among other things Carrie has done, I would be shocked if anyone but Carrie won Female Vocalist. Carrie has earned it.)
VOTY: Temporary Home or Mama's Song (Some might disagree with me, but the Temporary Home video deserves a lot more credit than it's gotten. It deserves at least the nomination. The Mama's Song video is equally wonderful, but I think that the Temporary Home video deserves it more, in my opinion.)
SOTY (Single): Temporary Home or Undo It (Temporary Home is the more likely, in my opinion.)
SOTY (Song): Temporary Home (It was one of the better songs of 2009/2010.)

I think she'll definitely get in for Female Vocalist and Entertainer this year. Other than that, I think she has a good shot at Single/Song/Video. Right now I'm going to say she gets in for Single and Video. Just a guess though.

Carrie should get nominated for EOTY and FVOTY and probably will be it. I think TH video was out last yr so I don't think it will be up for the video and doubt UI will be nominated. I hope Carrie can win FVOTY but figure THTBM will carry Miranda for another win. The women category is weak but mainly due to the poor representation they have on radio so they can not have any success.

I'd love if The Band Perry can pull off the upset and win Group of the Year.

    My predictions...

    Entertainer of The Year
    Brad Paisley
    Lady Antebellum
    Kenny Chesney
    Keith Urban
    Miranda Lambert
Carrie Underwood -- Biggest year, biggest voting fanbase
    Taylor Swift
    Zac Brown Band

    Male Vocalist Of The Year
    Brad Paisley
    Keith Urban
Kenny Chesney -- The ACMs will award Kenny with any chance they get, so I'm expecting him to take this one back.
    Tim McGraw
    Jason Aldean

    Female Vocalist Of The Year
    Reba
    LeAnn Rimes
    Taylor Swift
Carrie Underwood -- I've got a gut feeling that she'll be taking this one back this year.
    Miranda Lambert

    Album Of The Year
    Lady Antebellum- Need You Now
Speak Now - Taylor Swift -- Rave reviews, nearing 4x Platinum already
You Get What You Give - Zac Brown Band
Up On The Ridge - Dierks Bentley
    Keith Urban - Get Closer

    Vocal Event Of The Year
Don't You Wanna Stay - Jason Aldean/Kelly Clarkson -- It's between this and ASWA, but I'll give the edge to this one since it brought Kelly Clarkson into the scene.
    Bad Angel - Dierks Bentley/Miranda Lambert/Jamey Johnson
'Til The End - Alan Jackson ft. LeeAnn Womack
As She's Walking Away - Zac Brown Band ft. Alan Jackson
Blue Sky - Keith Urban feat. Emily West

    Single Of The Year
    Undo It - Carrie Underwood
If I Die Young - The Band Perry -- Honestly, this, UI, or THTBM will win, but I think TBP will pull out an upset.
Felt Good On My Lips - Tim McGraw
    Why Wait - Rascal Flatts
The House That Built Me - Miranda Lambert

    Song Of The Year
Our Kind of Love - Lady Antebellum
The House That Built Me - Miranda Lambert -- Obvious winner, IMO.
As She's Walking Away - Zac Brown Band ft. Alan Jackson
If I Die Young - The Band Perry
    Temporary Home - Carrie Underwood

    Music Video Of The Year
The Boys Of Fall - Kenny Chesney
    Mine - Taylor Swift
Temporary Home - Carrie Underwood -- Best video of the bunch.
If I Die Young - The Band Perry
The House That Built Me - Miranda Lambert

    Top Vocal Duo
    Joey + Rory
    Montgomery Gentry
    Steel Magnolia
    Sugarland -- Obvious winner, period.
    The JaneDear Girls

    Top Group
    Rascal Flatts
    Little Big Town
    The Band Perry
Lady Antebellum -- I think they still have this one on lock, but with the heating up of ZBB and TBP, I wouldn't be surprised if they lose out this year. I REALLY want LBT to win, but I know that won't happen.
    Zac Brown Band

    Top New Solo Vocalist
    Eric Church
    Randy Houser
Easton Corbin -- Obvious winner, period.

Top New Vocal Duo or Group
    the JaneDear girls
    Steel Magnolia
The Band Perry -- Again, obvious winner.

    Top New Artist
The Band Perry -- They're just so much more critically-acclaimed, so I'm giving them the edge.
    Easton Corbin

I predict we will most likely end up with Female Vocalist and EOTY.

We have to work like crazy to get her the EOTY award!

Somehow Tim McGraw should be figured into the EOTY nominations. Not sure who should be taken out perhaps ZB or Lady A but Tim really should receive a nomination.

Oh I'd also like to add, that I don't think we'll be seeing nominees like what we saw for the CMAs. So IMO no way should we see ML or Lady A or even ZB in the category. That's why I really think Tim should be in there and I guess I'll also add the Flatt boys. On the strength of their tour numbers alone I think they surely deserve the nods over the likes of ML or Lady A!!!

My 2 cents is that swsrn should not be nominated at all or just in the AOTY.

I will be upset if Taylor wins the album of the yr due to it not being a country album. I know she has been unstoppable on the sales but it remains to be a non country album posing as one. I rather someone like Dierks win it. I really can not think of too many impressive albums this yr. I can't remember if I need you now is eligible or not. I don't think that is too country either and even that good. Maybe the Zac Brown album will be nominated.

I think that EOTY noms will be the same five as the CMA's along with Carrie, Taylor and either Sugarland or McGraw.
