I'd say that "IT" is a pretty nebulous term that means something different to everyone. I am in disagreement with others opinion of Jimmy not having "IT", for example, I think he has as much of "IT" as other more popular singers, he just hasn't had the push that others have had. And, he is certainly a better singer than most.

First of all you are not dumb about what "IT" is.

"IT" doesn't really have a definition, what one person considers "IT" might not be what another person thinks is "IT"

To me "IT" in the music industry is having superstar quality (which very few have), ablility to sell albums & fill an arena night after night on a tour (even less have) and people outside of your genre will know who you are.

You don't have to be a great singer to have "IT", Madonna not a great singer but she has a whole bunch of "IT" and just because you are a great singer doesn't mean that you have "IT".

I think the interview just posted here was done really recently?? Not sure though. But Carrie also talked about it earlier in the year or last year...

I'm going to guess that they "went out" like right around when Carrie first went to Nashville or else it would have been bigger news because after that point they both became more well-known.

Also, this is random but I never realized Jimmy was as old as he is!!! I asked Cha Cha during his set a couple weeks ago because my friend and I were debating, and he's 36 I guess. I thought he was like, not even 30 yet.

I believe it has been a while as she was still in her original house (not the gated area she is in now) - at least thats what I picked up on - unless I misunderstood.
I really like Jimmy and hopefully puts out a new song soon. I didn't realize he was 36 either - guess because he seems so "young at heart". But also seems "nice" like Carrie and thats probably what their friendship and non-dating is all about.

Jimmy has had a new single out for the past couple of weeks. It's just getting started, but seems to be experiencing some difficulty getting played, I haven't even heard it on XM yet. It is called I'll Be That & right now it sits at #50.
