I don't want it to be religious or have a sad storyline to it. Anything else will be fine. I'm just going to hope for the soonest release possible because I am dying with the lack of Carrie lately.

I think Carrie should release her album on November 3, 2009. Or I honestly think she should wait until January in order to dominate the charts for a while.

not really, January and on until summer is the worst time to release an album. if i remember correctly, that was the time when the #1 album was constantly well under 100k each week. even if Carrie "dominated the charts" which i see as being #1 for a long time, she wouldnt have very high numbers to match that #1 position. its best during/before the Christmas season, where a 200k+ week should be guaranteed at least once or twice sometime after the initial first week sales.
I think a late July - mid August release makes sense.
I just hope the single won't keep me busy from studying for the MCAT that I'm supposed to take on August 21st
*wish me luck*
Anyway, I really don't mind any content as long as the song is a good song... and I'm sure it will be a good song
I agree with late August to be the new single date..
As far as the "type" of song. . . I honestly don't think it will matter if it's a third ballad or a fun song because Carrie has always had the abblity to attract an audience with everything that does...But i guess only time will tell. .
CARRIE WILL PERFORM THE LEAD SINGLE AT 2009 CMA AWARDS!!!
The theme of the lead single will be something about "God". Something like "How Great Thou Art" or "Jesus Take The Wheel". It will be a Carrie Underwood co-wrote song. It will be a "Country-Power Ballad".
The third album will be "THE # 1 GREATEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME"!!!

It might be earlier though, like August 24, 2009.
Carrie replied in our official fan club that she does not know what is the lead single of the third album yet, as of now, and the release date of the lead single!!!!!!

They need to hurry!!! However the more anticapation means the higher debut on the charts which is always good news!!! I hope the new single does well its first week...that really helps, as I'm sure it will do well anyway.
