Wow, that's a long lapse between CB peaking and DL being released.
CB was released 2 weeks after HB peaked.
HB was released almost 10 days after SB peaked.
It will have been 5 weeks since CB peaked when DL gets its turn.

I think it has to be with the fact that CB is still going strong.
It's in the low 70s on iTunes, and it's still at almost-33 millon AIs. That's really impressive.

HB and CB were released but impact dates were a couple of weeks after they were announced. Radio has already picked it up, but impact day will be interesting. Hope she sets another record. I'm glad they are slowing down. The era is almost over and I'm not ready for the long 2 -3 year drought.

^^ I suspect it has more to do with lead singles from Lambert and Chesney moving up the charts.Plus Morris and Old Dominion both having singles in the top 30.Personally I think it's a good think to have this distance between DL and those 4 singles.

also it's looking like Brad's lead single is done, which means if they hope to keep the Oct. cd release date thay'll be sending another song by him to radio.I don't think that would have any effect on DL though

btw Chesney passed Lambert whose song is not really performing as one would expect a lead single from a superstar to perform( +13 today/#23), by contrast SB was at #13 on day 28 (+205)

This type of performance is par for the coarse for her though. But its the type of performance that gets rewarded so maybe Carrie and her team should rethink their strategy and not have her break/set records. She needs to be mediocre!!!!

Oh goodness, don't make me depressed, lol. It hasn't even been a year since Storyteller was released, we are on single #4, and even if we get single #5 later this fall/early winter, that means that she will have blown through 5 singles in 16-18 months. They are going to have to go 6-7 (at least) deep to tide us over until the next album, lol. Maybe it's time for that Christmas or Gospel album next year to tide us over while she has baby #2, lol. Something she doesn't have to tour to support.

Ugh I am already dreading the inevitable 2 year drought before the next slbum. Unless we get lucky and she releases in late Fall 2017 - 2 years after ST- or at worst early spring 2018. The last gap was way too long.

I'm thinking that she's gonna throw a Christmas album out there in the interim between albums. She's always full of surprises.

I'll bet she gets pregnant in May/June, which would get her through SNF taping and summer concerts before she begins to show. I agree -- no way we'll get an album next fall if she extends ST into early 2017, unless it's a special Christmas or gospel album that won't require a tour.

^ We don't know that for sure though. Next Fall will be 2 years between Storyteller and album 6.

No, we don't know, but if that happens she will need to tour and that would be difficult with a 3 year old and a newborn. She might release summer 2018 then tour in the fall like she did with BA.

Ugh!! I think I'll just enjoy ST -- speculating makes me tired, lol.

I agree.I think there's maybe a 1% chance of a cd of new music next fall.

Perhaps that long awaited Christmas cd will finally be released.
