Best I can tell this isn't just a Big Machine deal with CC. Toby Keith, Big &Rich, and Jason along with the Tim/Kenny song which was pushed by Sony all got this deal. I don't think Capitol Records has had an Artist receive this treatment yet. We'll see if Darius Rucker's or Keith Urbans lead off singles get the CC treatment. I do expect to see The new Band Perry lead single to get this CC deal since they are part of the Big Machine group.
Any news on the BB chart yet?
Taylor's Billboard debut was 13, ironically. Bought and paid for. God Bless America.
No Country Aircheck for Carrie today, unfortunately!
We need to continue requesting and streaming and get BA to the penthouse!![]()
bummer. Is Taylor's song slowing down yet? I bet country radio is afraid to have three females in the top 10 at the same time-- so they are going to take Carrie and Miranda's spins and give them to SWSRN. So archaic.
Back on the radio.
Today, the regular dj was away so they have a sub .. and guess who he likes? I heard BA alot of times, plus RM and BHC.![]()
It's really sad to see how much Trailer distracts from the big picture here. When I type in "www.carriefans.com" I expect to see subject matter of CARRIE, not Trailer Smith. Who the hell cares what she buys? We know Carrie earned everything, so that should make following her even more INTERESTING.
But, nooooo, lets keep talking about a scam of an artist.![]()
Since a lot has been off-topic... I'll be off topic too lol BTW Add me on fc I barely have friends there so yeah same username![]()

I think the big and rich single and zac brown the wind did also. I'm sure if Carrie was a little later she would have got it too.
I am a bit worried that BA is slowing down this week. I hope things pick up a bit later in the week.
I'm not sure, but I do believe that the only TK single which might have gotten this treatment is his current single, 'I Like Girls Who Drink Beer'.
Radio is going to jump all over any single by any format megastar, regardless of merit, and if such a tune comes screaming out of the box and up the charts only to hit the wall which 'Rockstar', 'Truck Yeah' and perhaps Taylor's latest may or may not do, then the entire promotion was a stupendous waste of time.
Once Taylor's tune takes the airplay/chart hit tomorrow which will show up on the charts on Wednesday as Cary mentioned earlier, then we'll really see how much momentum it really has.
I REALLY DOUBT that Carrie will get drawn into it. Sony Music Entertainment, Inc. WILL NOT ENTER in that KIND OF A DEAL because it will TARNISH the "NUMBER ONE POSITION RECORDS" in the airplay charts of their artists. It will be TAINTED. Big Machine is only a small recording company and "Universal Music Group, Inc." is ONLY THEIR "DISTRIBUTOR". The BIG THREE - "Universal Music Group, Inc.", "Sony Music Entertainment, Inc." and "Warner Music Group" WILL NOT ENTER in that KIND OF A DEAL.
Clear Channel DEBT LEVEL is SO HIGH that its NET OPERATING INCOME can not covers the INTEREST PAYMENTS. They REALLY NEED ADDITIONAL "ADVERTISING REVENUE".
I say Clear Channel needs to clean up its act or it will lose more listeners. We can only stand so much of Truck Yeah and WANEGTA (or whatever it is) until we turn off the radio and listen to someone we really like!!!!!
I would like to see some movement of BA though!!!!
There's no reason whatsoever for Sony to stoop to tactics such as this, and especially considering how strong Carrie's CD is, with a very wide range of topics covered throughout.
Marv do you think BA will pick up again once the Taylor song slows down a bit and stops stealing airplay from everyone else? tx.

Correct me If I'm wrong but, Sony already did this with the Kenny Chesney/ Tim Mcgraw song "Feel Like A Rock Star" and Warner did it as well with Big and Rich's current single. Back to Carrie's BA, the callout scores for the song are not as good as I would have hoped for in tonights Billboard Country Update.
