I posted a while back about BA being the kind of song that would be best
expressed while viewing the video, and it looks like its panning out that way.
Another number 1 for Carrie.
Liveasong---I sincerely hope you count your blessings daily about being fortunate enough to live in a city as astonishing and exhilirating as Montreal with an exceptional subway system and nonstop nightlife. Lucky you!!!!
I for one am extremely delighted with Carrie's chart perofrmance to date; she's some 1,100 spins behind the ZBB and approximately 1,900 spins behind Keith Urban, so keeping an eye on those gaps to see how long they last will be worth watching, since I'm still not convinced that 'Truck Yeah' is going to be a smash, but there's no doubt in my mind the 'The Wind' is headed to the penthouse.
Finally, the video for 'Blown Away' was exceptional and downright mesmerizing; the actor who played carrie's dad had the perfect amount of attitude for someone who's losing , otr has lost the battle with alcoholism, yet cannot stop hitting the bottle in hopes of finding solace in doing so, which sounds like a very empty life..
The adept blending of black and white and color images, and that little yellow house with the brightly-colored doors in particular, showed some superb craftsmanship, and certainly points to the hefty amount of serious brainstorming which went into making this serene yet sobering video.
Absolutely wonderful from start to finish; look for Carrie to finish at #21 come Sunday afternoon, as the downright wonderful 'Even If It Breaks Your Heart' goes off to recurrentland at Mediabase.
Marv - thank you for your usual insightful post. Indeed, it's great to see Blown Away having huge daily gains. I am measuring Blown Away's rise against Over, Pontoon, Truck Yeah, Take A Little Ride and Fastest Girl In Town. Keith's "For You" has been moving very slowly and may not make the top 5. ZBB's "The Wind" has had miniscule gains for the last 3 days and I wonder if it is too different of a tune. I don't think it will get to #1.
My predictions for upcoming Number 1's are Kenny, Love & Theft, Blake, Little Big Town (for 2-3 weeks), Hunter Hayes, Jason, and then Carrie.
Thank you---I'm not really all that thrilled about either Brantley Gilbert or Kip Moore winding up with the #1 single of 2012, so if 'Pontoon' can somehow pull off an ENORMOUS second-half chart run with multiple weeks at #1 a la 'The Good Stuff', 'Live Like You Were Dying' or 'Better Life', I'll feel a heck of a lot better!!!

^I don't care for the new ZBB song but I think radio will play them to #1 . Still not sure about Truck Yeah either. As of today's update it looks like Gloriana is still fighting and will at least put up a fight for #1 next week against Love and Theft. I think it's possible both of them will get a week at #1 before Blake Shelton. As for Blown Away, it's the best song on radio right now and maybe the best song I've heard since NYN by Lady A.
SORRY FOR THIS LONG OFF-TOPIC POST!
Pi314CA---
If you're someone who likes to shop, then you should definitely go to Montreal's Eaton Centre which is located in downtown! You can find pretty much EVERYTHING you want there!
If you're someone who likes history and culture, then you might want to visit the Old Montreal which has a lot of museums, attractions and public spaces! :P Our Olympic Stadium (1976 Summer Olympics) is pretty awesome as well!
If you're someone who likes to go out at night, get wasted and party, downtown Montreal is full of clubs and bars! And if you like to gamble, we have an awesome casino for you!
If you like roller coasters, you should definitely go La Ronde which is a Six Flags Theme Park with A LOT of fun rides! My favorite being this one:

Pi314CA......Don't forget to go to Schwartz's for the best smokemeat in town
Thank you liveasong and Ace! I really appreciate it!
Now back to ON-topic. Looks like Kenny will get a 2nd week at #1. It's gonna be an interesting battle between Love & Theft and Gloriana for #1 next week. Look for some good chart movement for BA in the next few weeks as it should pass a number of songs that are stalling (Something to do with my hands, Glass) and some that are moving at a much slower clip (Lovin' You is fun, That's why I pray). BA has already passed Rascal Flatts and I would wager that BA will pass Miranda soon.

"I feel like it's not about the accolades or the sales numbers or the, you know, awards or any of that. It's about helping people with their lives and making a difference that way."
