When we were first listening to the album Blown Away on the Official Fan Club. Carrie posted on the onelinchat that DYTAM was her favorite song to sing from her new CD. That online chat was going so fast probably not a lot of people were able to pick it up. Boy, that was a fun day.
If SYA is the next single that is okay with me. Just so long as NETY or TGFH aren't singles.
Awesome Job BA! keep it up!
it it stays consistent I could see a third week on mediabase, maybe.
I love SYA, just didn't think it had a shot as a single. I'll be thrilled if both SYA and WAW make it as singles. Probably my favorite two songs on the album along with OWT

AS for 3rd single: I am definately in the minority here. I love SYA. It is my favorite song off the album at the moment.
I could see it doig better than most of the other tracks (ba included) at pop radio, but we have to remember, and we have this discussion every era, I think the only way pop and top 40 are really going to give Carries label what they want is if Carrie and the label strike a deal. Thats going to mean promo! That is going to mean Carrie standing up and looking them straight in the face and saying "I am here to sell your format". And she has made it abundantly clear that she will not do that.
It frustrates the heck out of me, but that is her choice and she is not budging on it. And no, I don't see her changng her stand just to get #1's on the Hot chart.
She releases music that "can" crossover, and she has stated that she doesn't mind if they do, but will not promote herself as a pop product.
So that leaves a song having a life of it's own without Carrie pushing it. And I think pop radio and top 40 have taken a stand of their own to, if Carrie won't play "with" us, than we are not going to give her the farm.
So there we are. SYA or WAY are both potenical big songs at pop radio if Carrie sold them there. But they would not do all that well at country.
DYTAM or 2BC would do well at country but will not cross naturally.
So who do you think she is going to promote. Country Music! DYTAM is likely the choice.
(I think she only puts the simple pop tunes on her albums cause she knows people like me are listening, but she would never release them).
I agree with Cary; that new and downright ludicrous chart's existence will unquestionably have ZERO influence or her choices for singles, since the ads you see in Country Aircheck & elsewhere are driven by airplay.
DYTAM will the #3 single, i bet!
No fewer than THREE country powerhouses (KNCI/KMLE/KMPS) as well as both Portland stations boosted their spins by double digts this week, so this is going to be a heck of a race this week.
Arista is definitely going for a third week in the penthouse, it would appear.
Windmills over at MJ's said that it's not out of the realm of possibility that BA could get a 3rd week at #1 on Mediabase. Judging by the Country Aircheck ad, the label is definitely trying for another week. I would LOVE that, considering she'll be singing it at the CMA's next week.

Yahoooo!!!
Theres still life left in it!!!
Carrie is not kidding.
I'm glad her label realizes there's still so much life left in Blown Away, hopefully it does well all week and steals a third week at #1!

A #1 on Mediabase looks doable. Carrie just can't drop much and Lee's spins better slow down a bit. He's for sure getting the #1 on Billboard this week. So, let's request, guys!![]()

Those are pretty strong numbrs..
Sure would like it if Blown Away gets three weeks at the penthouse.
