i for one am very disappointed in how bad good girl is selling seriously -44% in sells i was expecting Good girl sells to decrease but not by 44% : (
I really didn't expect that either!!![]()
what i mean is that i didn't expect good girls sells to drop that badly, i didn't actually mean good girl is doing bad in sells after only 3 wks, i just was not expecting for good girl sells to decrease by that much.
GG is #15 on iTunes, it'll have a nice increase next weekI wouldn't worry too much. Wait until she performs this on tv.
The 66k in sales for GG last week is still excellent when compared to Carrie's previous tracks. Did you know that JTTW never sold more than 60k in a single week? and that BHC only sold more 66k in a week once (that was 96k during a Christmas week)?
After the GG release, there really has not been any substantial promotion corresponding to this sales week. Now with the GG video out, the rise in sales as seen on the iTunes chart is a good measure of the sales increase. So, if it was 0.18 of the #1 track (WAY), and now it's say 0.23... then that is about a 25% increase. An early guess for this week's sales is 90k which puts GG reaching Gold status in just a few weeks!![]()
I can't wait for PO to reach 3 million in sales!![]()
Uh, the gloom and doom about sales has begun. Write it down, this single will be certified platinum in no time.
Although I would always like to see Carrie sell more in this case I think your disappointment is not warranted... There was bound to be a drop off after 2 great opening weeks of sales... But thanks to the Video release GOOD GIRL is starting to ramp up again!!! One thing to Remember is all the other songs in the ITunes top 20 are being driven by pop AirPlay.... Wait until GOOD GIRL starts crossing over with more HOT AC and pop airplay....Then these numbers will skyrocket..... It looks like TEAM CARRIE has changed there strategy with this ERA and are welcoming other format spins.... In the past this was discouraged until the Chart run was finished on Country.... With 6 HOT AC stations already spinning GOOD GIRL this shows that this ERA is gonna be EPIC!!!!
It may happen if the price of PO is sold at where Lady A's "Own The Night" sold at on GooglePlay and Amazon last week...
get this: This digital CD sold for TWENTY-FIVE CENTS! Sold 99,000 copies last week. And because there is no rule against an "older" CD selling at whatever price to count as sales, this 99k counts toward its total sales. Geez, this is a new low...

I knew GG would drop off alot this week because they took the Big ads down after only 4 days, which was dumb imo. But I admit I did not expect a 44% drop. That is pretty massive.
Hopefully Carrie will do some promo soon. they really haven't done any at all yet....other then releasing the video.
I like when people promote their singles on talk shows and such. Carrie could do a few performances leading up to the big promo in late April/May.
I don't know why you guys are worried. A 44% is so usual, it should have been expected. Actually, I'm surprised the song didn't drop harder. It sold very well last week.
