Country hits dominate 'Idol' airplay

While the first winner of American Idol has a country smash currently crossing over to pop, the show's newest champ looks like he might have a legitimate hit on his hands. And a new duet featuring Carrie Underwood is also flying up the charts.

All three records make the top 10 of our American Idol airplay chart this week. Kelly Clarkson's duet with Jason Aldean, Don't You Wanna Stay, remains the most-played Idol song, according to Mediabase, but it won't be much longer at the rate Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood's Remind Me is going. That track jumps from No. 29-No. 22 on USA TODAY's Country radio chart this week, and from No. 9-No. 3 on the Idol airplay chart.
