The release of the new version of I Told You So featuring Randy Travis along with the associated performance on American Idol resulted in big gains on the charts and in sales. The biggest gains were of course for I Told You So. The combined sales for all versions of I Told You So jumped 701% to 125.8K. Total sales are 221.6K. Those sales launched I Told You So up the charts. I Told You So moved up 48 spots to #9 on the Hot 100 and 49 spots to #18 on the Canadian Hot 100. I Told You So also debuted at #4 on the Hot Digital Songs chart and at #10 on the Hot Canadian Digital Singles chart. I Told You So featuring Randy Travis debuted on the Hot Digital Tracks chart at #8. On the airplay charts, I Told You So moved up a spot to #11 on the Hot Country Songs chart and moved up a spot to #2 on the R&R Canada Country chart. I Told You So also moved up 5 spots to #39 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart.
But I Told You So also had a big impact on albums sales. Carnival Ride’s sales were up 59% to 19.2K. Total sales are at 2.703 million. The sales increase moved Carnival Ride up 3 spots to #2 on the Top Country Albums chart and 27 spots to #15 on the Billboard 200. Some Hearts moved up 11 spots to #2 on the Top Pop Catalog chart and moved up a whopping 74 spots to #63 on the Comprehensive Albums chart. Based on other sales numbers, that would put Some Hearts’ sales this week at around 7.6K. Some Hearts remains at #1 on the Top Country Catalog Albums chart for a 3rd straight week and its 25th week overall.
Also getting a boost this week from American Idol is Jesus Take The Wheel. Sales for Jesus Take The Wheel were up 201% to 17.1K. Total sales are at 1.487 million.
As expect, Home Sweet Home took a big hit on the charts after a big debut last week. But Home Sweet Home is still on all 6 charts it was on last week. Home Sweet Home is currently at #62 on the Hot 100, #40 on the Hot Digital Songs chart and #37 on the Hot Digital Tracks chart. Also Home Sweet Home just barely holds on at #59 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
The More Boys I Meet moves up a spot to #45 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
And finally, All-American Girl has been certified Gold.
