and digital download sales of 18.9 million. Carrie Underwood is second with
album and digital download sales of 15.7 million.

yes, thats all of their single-sales combined per each artist....so between IYH, JTTW, DFTRM, BHC, ISBY, Wasted, SS, A-AG, and LN Carrie has digitaly sold 7.2 million.

No they don't count albums as how ever many singles but don't forget also that SH and BHC are still selling so things will change weekly and SH hasn't fallen out of the Top half of the billboard 200 album charts and could possibly make it to it's third anniversary still in the top 200 and break come on over's record of 151 concecutive weeks in the chart in the process and bhc could be near 2.8 million downloaded by the end of the year and join the 3,000,000 club by mid next year and at that same juncture in time SH could end up at 8x platinum in the US and 6x platinum in Canada

Remember that kelly's releasing a new album this year, and we don't know how it will do.
And the difference between them is 3 years.

so kelly is finally releasing another album ... my december didnt do that well, did it? the only song i heard from that album was "never again" ... hopefully with this next one she will do better

Yes, my december had just one single, never again. And she's releasing the new album at the end of this year. MD didn't do that well, but selling 765.000 copies with just one single and no promotion is really good. One of the producers of this new album is Ryan Tedder from One Republic, hopefully they make some great music.

they need to update the list though because carrie has now sold 10 million albums... and i'm sure her digital download number is higher now too. That would put her in front of kelly.
