So with news of kellys new album on the street, is it a country album?
With the producer of one republic doing it, it doesn't sound like it.
If she can get a really good single to get the ball rolling she can have a comeback, without a really strong single, I see another MD. Maybe worse.
It's amazing to consider what Carrie has accomplished and stayed with her country genre.
That she is competing with the biggest names in the music industry and keeping her feet securely planted in country music is truely amazing.
Every country artist that I know that has made this kind of impact, intentionally sold to the pop market except Carrie. Hers got picked up by them, but you can't say she meant for BHC to be a hit on Pop radio.
Way to go Carrie.
yeah and it's still #30 on Itunes pop downloads which means roughly 8k -17k downloads a week unless it's re serviced to pop radio which would cause it's downloads to increase exponecially in a couple of weeks it'll move up to being the 15th most downloaded song and eventually the first country song to be certified 3x platinum in the digital age

I'm really surprised that Justin Guarini even registered on this scale.
As for the My December thing, I still can't understand for the life of me why Clive Davis released the album if he wasn't going to support it. How does that make any sense from a business standpoint? It's an awfully expensive lesson to teach her, if that's what it was. They missed some golden opportunities for radio-friendly singles, as far as I'm concerned. Here's to hoping that he decides to support the next album, when it comes out.
yeah I agree with you suzanne Clive and company made some huge mistakes with My December
