American Idol Season 11 Live Shows

I realized that the other thread we were using had auditions in the title, so prevent any confusion I thought we could use a separate thread for the live shows.

Idol goes live tonight with the guys singing. Tomorrow night is the girls' turn, then we find out the finalists on Thursday. It's a very busy Idol week lol!

It's going to be an interesting show tonight especially given some of those song spoilers.
This year's group appears to be very talented, so it is anyone's game. Let's hope no one truly screws it up lol. There were a few big mistakes last year from some contestants at this stage. I'd like to see some people that didn't get a lot of airtime in the previous rounds really shine tonight and tomorrow night because that's always nice to see.

I don't even want to watch American Idol since Johnny Keyser isn't on it. He was easily the best and I didn't even realize he didn't make it past the group round. There are some talented people this year but the fact that he didn't make the top 24 is disgusting. I know he had an ego but he could back it up. SO MAD!!! I don't even care about watching AI anymore.

I thought that Aaron had done a really good job, then Joshua came along and blew the doors off of everyone.

It will be really interesting to see who the 5 are who get voted through.

In my opinion, many of them are good singers but NO STARS ! When I saw Justin Bieber for the first time, I knew he would be a big star -- there is huge star quality in Justin Bieber !

I really liked "Gravity" by Jeremy Rosado. His voice isn't the most unique, but for the purpose of idol, it's certainly the least annoying. Smooth and he chooses songs I like.

I loved the tone and smoothness of Aaron's voice. I loved Jeremy too.

With the exception of Colton Dixon who's a definite, I have no idea who America will vote through.

Overall, the boys' performances had no standouts. Joshua Ledet was the best vocally. Heejun has a nice tone (though much work still needs to be done for his voice) and is so darn likeable I'm sure he's a lock. Am sure Colton and Phil Phillips aren't going anywhere anytime soon too.

That leaves another 2-3 spots for the boys. I have a feeling Eben will make it ......maybe Creighton/Chase (the only country-ish guy)/Aaron will fill in the rest of the spots...

REALLY hope the girls will be much better tomorrow.

Maybe this was announced a while back already and known but I was surprised to see they are already using the big stage arena this early in the competition.

It's as if the judges don't dare say anything negative, or else it may reflect badly on them. Am I off base there? It's like last year all over again. I wasn't going to watch this year because of this, but it's like deja vu!
