Cowell proposed late Thursday that the winner of the U.S. "X Factor" could have a "super-final" sing-off with the winners of "Idol" — which Lythgoe executive produces — and NBC's "The Voice."
"Just a thought," Cowell tweeted. "I'd be up for it."
Lythgoe had a thought too: Forget it. "The problem is the 'Idol' winner will be a star by then," Lythgoe wrote via Twitter.
Nigel Lythgoe slaps Simon Cowell over 'American Idol' idea - latimes.com
Of course Cowell would be up for it. It is the only viable way for him to keep his name in the public. He's such a dweeb. Good luck with your knock off show Simon, may you finally realise that people just don't like you.

Geez, Simon that is a terrible idea. What are you going to do make it like the Super Bowl and have the networks take turns telecasting it?
Nigel blowing up both of the other shows with his tweet is pretty funny.
Nigel is pretty funny with his tweets...
Good for Nigel !!
Yep and after that I think they should get all the Idol winners together and have a Cage match sing off..... Whoever can hold a note the longest wins.... It would come down to OUR GIRL and Clarkson....
And the winner is CARRIE THE GREAT......
Truthfully Simon needs all the Pub he can get at this point!!!!!
This is why I love Nigel lol. He shut Simon down in the best way.
A sing-off between winners would be stupid. They all win their respective shows, then start a career. They shouldn't be obligated to compete again.
This idea reminds me of World Idol from about ten years ago. They only did it once, and it was terrible.
