I totally agree with what you are saying. It's just that when you stack everything you listed "along with" shift votes/casual listenr votes/anger votes, you then have a biased result.
I guess what I am saying is if there were no judges there to cause a big fight in the first place, there would not have been the big redemption moment later, and each of the contestants performances could have been judged equally.
I personally thought Haley did a great job on Earthsong. I loved hearing the song again and I loved that she sang it. For me "there was no" redemption moment cause I thought she sang both songs equally well. But the judges "created drama" which manipulated the way people were viewing the circumstances.
And I just wish they had not done that, for James as well as for Haley.
Haley now goes forward feeling like the drama won her a spot in the top 3 and she should not have to feel that way.
And yes, for me I feel duped cause I thought James had enough of a fan bas that he could handle my distraction by Haley and the crazy judges (I hate Randy right now). I was wrong. And I feel alittle duped. So I just wish they had not done all that to begin with and let the peices fall where they would.
I personally probably would have been voting for James had it not happened at this point in the game. I guess that is my point.
And I don't think I'm alone.

My Guitar Gently Weeps. Hands down for me.
Just good ol' sangin'!
I'm leaning toward Maybe I'm Amazed. Such passion.<3
But Uprising is just so cool!
Stupid haters! This is why I hate Twitter: you only have 150 characters to put someone in her place.
Whatever. She was worth less characters, that pompous turd.
Since nobody on the AI thread is commenting on it, has anybody watched James's homecoming? It's amazing how much control James already has over his crowd seeing as he's kind of a noob. I can see he wants to have the same control over his crowd as the likes of Freddie Mercury or Bruce Dickinson. He's not there yet, but it looks like he'll be getting there soon. A real showman. He was excellent.
The best song of the event? While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Surprise, surprise.
Well, kind of surprising. On the show, I sorta preferred Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, but WMGGW was top notch yesterday.
^^I haven't had a chance to watch the videos from any of the Idols' home visits yet, but I'll be sure to check out James' homecoming. I love that he got his homecoming despite the elimination.
Lemme know what you think of his stage presence.
Alot of my friends and family are refusing to watch Idol the rest of the season now as they are mad about James and Pia. lol Me too-- but I will watch the dang show because I am addicted and it is a disease. lol
I watched this afternoon, and I'm even more of a fan of James than I was before. He is such a natural. America really screwed up in letting him go. I think he did the opening of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow even better than he did on the show. Again, I wish him much success in the future, and I'll be waiting to buy his album and see his shows.
He performed Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow on Regis and Kelly. He just keeps getting better and better. They briefly interviewed him and he was so sweet! He was talking about how AI was not happy about him singing Judas Priest. They were like, "Who's Judas Priest?" Boo, AI! And he got Regis to say, "Give metal a chance!" xD Good interview, fabulous performance.
