Just an update. The major upgrade is done, so I''ve turned the board back on, if things seem weird give them time to sort out. I'm also testing new features and removing some old ones.

In case no one knows, I had tickets to see Carrie in Birmingham, Alabama on June 17 but something came up and I couldn't go. So I came up with the idea to just drive to Carrie's concert in Mobile and stand by the buses all day with no tickets to see if I could meet her.
I got to the arena around 2:00. I literally jumped out of the car while it was still moving when I saw how close the buses were. I ran over to them and met another Fan Club member (I met him at a Carrie concert in March too) and we talked and stuff. As is started getting later, I went back to the car and got my pictures for Carrie to sign and her flowers. The other Fan Club member didn't have a picture for Carrie to sign, so I let him have one of mine. I bring a whole folder full of pictures to every Carrie event/concert. At this point, it's just me and three other Fan Club members. And my mom, haha. Carrie's bus was there, but we didn't know if CARRIE was there yet. A white fan pulled up at about 3:45, and I didn't think anything of it, I thought it was just a normal van. But then a Fan Club member says "THERE'S ACE!!" and I really wanted to see Ace, so I started completely freaking out! And before I knew it, here comes Matt, Keith, Shelton, and Carrie! Then they all went straight into the bus. I wasn't sure if Carrie was going to come out or not. I was turned around talking to the other people there when I hear my mom say "Here she comes!" I turned around and sure enough there's Carrie walking straight towards us! With Matt and Shelton right behind her of course. Carrie came straight over to me and and I gave her the flowers I had for her. She thanked me, then I asked her if we could could take a picture, and of course she said yes. We took the picture, which didn't come out too good, but I didn't want to ask for another one. After Carrie got done talking to me and everything, no one was saying anything. So Carrie said something like "If y'all want something you have to ask! I gotta skatter...." it was adorable! She signed and took pictures with the three guys next to me, then came back over to me and signed my Carrie purse. My mom asked Carrie if we could take another picture since the first one didn't turn out. Carrie kindly said yes, and while we were posing for the picture my mom started telling Carrie about Birmingham (she didn't tell Carrie I didn't have tickets though) and I got embarrassed and cut my mom off talking. I didn't think Carrie heard her, though. I think I heard Carrie say aww or something like that. After we took the second picture Carrie gave me a hug, thanked me again for the flowers, and left. I was so happy! I was very thirsty, so my mom and I went and got something to drink. By the time we got back we found out Carrie had just gone in for soundcheck. About 2 minutes later, Carrie came back from soundcheck. Very, very short soundcheck. Carrie went straight back into her bus. I knew Carrie would be coming out a lot more, so I decided to just sit outside all day. All the other Fan Club members went and did they're own thing, and my mom went and sat in the car. Now, I'm the only one standing by the buses. I felt so weird. But, anything for Carrie! There was a little tent to the left of Carrie's bus, and Matt was sitting in it pretty much the entire time. He kept staring at me, I felt so awkward. So I called pretty much everyone I knew, I felt weird standing there doing nothing. While talking on the phone to Mallory, Carrie comes out of the bus with ACE! She went to walk him, and I started shaking. Hahaha, what is my problem. Anyway she walked Ace, then started talking on the phone, then went in the little tent and talked to Matt. THEN she went back in the bus. I could've had a heart attack. While waiting for Carrie to come back out, I talked to Jamie (Carrie's backup singer) and Ed (Carrie's guitar player) they are both VERY nice people. I got pictures with both of them, and they Jamie was so worried about how she looked. She said I "Caught her before she got ready" but she looked gorgeous. Ed kept telling me not to get too hot, they are just two very very nice and caring people! I asked Jamie when Carrie would be coming back out and she told me she'd be coming out soon for meet and greets. About 30 minutes later, Carrie came out for meet and greets! It was all so exciting, seeing Carrie come and go, haha. A few security guards came up to me and talked to me since I had been standing outside all day. I told them about Birmingham and how I didn't have any tickets etc etc. I think they all thought I was crazy for standing outside all day. About an hour later Carrie came back from meet and greets, and looked over at me and smiled. Matt and Carrie had a hard time getting the bus door open, I was just cracking up. When Carrie came back from meet and greets I knew she'd be going into the bus to get ready for the concert and everything so I knew I wouldn't get another chance to meet her or anything but I wanted to stay to see her one last time for the night. A very nice security guard came up to me and gave me something to drink and asked me if I needed anything, I told him I was fine and thanked him. I've never met such NICE security guards! Haha. Anyway. Carrie came out of the bus all prettied up for the concert, and I got very very excited again. Carrie, Matt, Keith, Shelton, and two security guards all started walking towards the arena. Then they all stop, Carrie says something, and Keith and Matt point to me. They all stood there for like 10 seconds looking at me. My heart was beating so fast. One of the security guards starting walking towards me, then he told to stay right where I was and not to go anywhere. I really had no clue what was going on. Then out of the middle of no where a guy with an All Access Carrie pass on comes up right behind me. I asked him if he knew what was going on and he laughed and said no. I KNOW he knew what was going on. About 10 minutes later Keith comes out and comes straight over to me with two tickets in his hands and asks me if my mom is with me. I told him yes, then he told me that "these tickets are from Carrie, Happy Birthday" I asked him how they knew and he said they know everything and that they know I'm dedicated when I stand outside all day. He told me to hurry up and get to my seats and the show would be starting in about 10 minutes. I thanked him and told him to tell Carrie thank you, then the man with the All Access pass took me in the back way and took me to my seats. He told me if my seats weren't good I could sit where they do the lighting. He was so nice! I got to my seats then all of a sudden Matt comes over to my section, looks at me, and leaves. I dunno what that was all about. The countdown started, then the music for Flat On The Floor started, then Carrie came out and the crowd went crazy. Then Carrie went into Wasted, etc. She did Don't Forget To Remember Me at the end of the catwalk and she looked me straight in the eyes and smiled! I was literally the happiest girl on this earth. I left half way through Paradise City so I could go by the buses and tell Carrie thank you. It was raining when I got out there, so I got very wet. Carrie came out about 10 minutes later and she had like, 5 umbrellas over her. I screamed thank you, but I don't think she heard me. After the concert, I was curious how Carrie knew I didn't have tickets. Well, perfect ending to the story, the next day Carrie replied to MY topic on the Fan Club and told me how she found out! This was another amazing amazing Carrie experience, and it might be put into COUNTRY WEEKLY!

you know, i really think carrie and her management know a lot more about the fans than we think they do. carrie really has a great memory for faces, and i'm guessing they knew your birthday since you had to enter your birthdate when you signed up for the fan club. its a bit freaky that they actually know about the fans lol

they probably knew it was her birthday because maybe she may have told the band and then the band told carrie.
Wow, waiting for Carrie for hours--what a dedicated fan you are . . Congratulation on meeting Carrie and what a beautiful picture of Carrie and you !!!
