I'm glad TS didn't win AOTY and Miranda won that instead. I was hoping for Kenny or Brad instead. I think that Kenny deserves an AOTY award at the ACMs b/c he's never won one yet.
Yeah, the vibe when ever Carrie performs or wins an award is less than favorable but Carrie keeps doing her thing and sings her heart out. Carrie and Brad's duet just touches my heart and the crowd was definitely into that performance. I don't care if Carrie never wins another award, you can't deny Carrie's talent. She's surely blessed by God.
leanne rimes wasn't clapping for carrie after her LN performance. They showed keith and nicole all happy and clapping-- but leanne was just sitting silently next to her husband. lol

Agreed. But as much as I hate to say it, she didn't sound as great when she sang Last Name. It was good, but since it's Carrie, I can only expect the best >__>

I wanted kenny or brad too- but A part of me was really happy for miranda because she loses SO much to carrie- that I think it was nice for her to win for once.
Carrie won the only award she was nominated for, so it's all good. There was never a doubt.
I'm glad for Miranda's win also, it's a pretty good album. I really thought Brad would win, but I really don't mind Miranda taking it. I'm hoping for CR to be nominated for album at the CMAs. By that time, she might have 4 number one songs in a row from it.
Taylor was a no brainer, she was going to win that one. She seemed surprised to win, but she was the only surprised person in the whole arena.
I was surprised at the B and D win for best duo. It looked like Sugarland had the best year.
I had picked Brad or Keith for the male vocalist and I would've been ok with either of them.
I had also picked Jack Ingram for best new artist, so it's been a good night.
As far as Carrie's performance, she rocked LN and looked stunning in that outfit. After hearing the others perform live on that stage, you have to appreciate Carrie's ability to sing on pitch. Some of the artists, and I won't mention any names, were down right bad.
Her mellow, soft, beautiful performance of "Make the World go Away" was perfect. I had a feeling it would be that song.

True but I thought alot of performances were worst than Carrie like Leanne Rimes for example.

I disagree... I just watched it seveal times and it was incredible.. not perfect- no. But she was energetic and emotional...not stiff at all.
I think the song called for her to move around the stage alot -- and kick butt. She did both. It is not a song that calls for perfect vocals....it is a song that calls for a perfect performance- and carrie delivered.
Even so- her vocals were great- I thought.
I think the crowd was lame for several acts- not just carrie. There were alot of jealous people there too-- ie- leanne rimes, etc.
The crowd LOVED carrie when she did the duet with brad....

So proud of Carrie! Another FVOTY, woohoo! And the duet with Brad was AMAZING. As I was watching, I think I said about thirty times "She's amazing" right out loud to no one in particular. lol... she's incredible!!!

@ teesharky: I see what you mean, but I wasn't paying attention to the screen at all. I just heard her perform and wasn't as awe-struck as I was with her performance from the Opry. And I will say right now that I know that my comment on her performance was one-dimensional. I'll watch the ACMs again tomorrow and see if my thoughts are different
