Just an update. The major upgrade is done, so I''ve turned the board back on, if things seem weird give them time to sort out. I'm also testing new features and removing some old ones.

I agree--- I don't think carrie and martina are all that close....and Reba is super nice to carrie, but she does seem to support kelly clarkson more.
Though- reba has introduced carrie at several events, like the Oklahoma centennial thing, the grammys, acms, etc. She is an Okie so that would be very fitting.
I am just holding out for garth or dolly, or loretta. lol
I don't think it will be Dolly as she has a concert each of the 3 days before and the day after. There is one more possibility. Remember that Barbara Mandrell was at the show in March 2006 when she was one of the 1st ones up to give Carrie a standing ovation for SBYM. And she isn't touring anymore. So she may be available.
Does anyone know if other country music artists that carrie is friends with might show up to support carrie-- ie- like brad, kellie pickler, etc? I assume non-opry members could come and be there for carrie.....or- is that not usually done?
Brad doesn't tour until June. So he could show up. Kellie has a concert that night. I think that there is a good chance that Josh Turner will be there.

good point. I forgot all about Barbara Mandrell! That would also be fitting since it would be a blonde female legend, passing the torch to another blonde, carrie.
Dolly could technically do it--- she could fly in since her concerts are like just a few hours by plane away from the opry...but-- it would be tough. You are right.
I just keep thinking that dolly has a new album out--- and she is promoting it by going on Idol, being on the cover of Country Weekly, etc.
Dolly hasn't been at the opry in a long time, right? So it would be a good way for her to promote her new album and get back in the game. lol

thanx! That is so great. If brad and josh came I think that would mean alot to carrie.. Also--- would be nice if keith and nicole came- though with the pregnancy perhaps they are in Australia right now, etc- until keith's next stadium kenny date. I have no idea. lol

But Barbara or reba would be great too.
Dolly performed at the Opry in May 2007 for Porter Wagoner's 50th Anniversary at the Opry. She performed again at the his memorial service at the Opry in November.
if josh turner shows up, and makes a speech about carrie, that'd surely mean a lot to her. even if brad, kenny, and all the people she's toured with were there, she'd certainly be a happy little carrie!
I really don't think it'll be Dolly , it would be great but they don't really have any type of relationship or connection between them.
People like Vince, Josh, Brad and Randy are all connected to her in some way. Vince and Brad are her good friends and Josh is touring with her. Randy's invitaion made sense becuase she recorded one of his songs and she's also a huge fan.
