Just an update. The major upgrade is done, so I''ve turned the board back on, if things seem weird give them time to sort out. I'm also testing new features and removing some old ones.

We all have our opinions but I think overexposed is an overused term. It always comes up when people think that something is amiss. There are always examples of people who have had enough of a particular performer but in reality, they are often in the minority. Exposure is good for stars. The avid fans are the ones who can get overexposed as they go looking for everything available on the performer. The casual fan only see bits and pieces.
You can never be overexposed to good music. Look at Chesney, Rascal Flats, and all the other big names. They have songs on the charts constantly and it has been that way for years.
When you are not exposed, you run the risk of people saying that you are fading and losing appeal. That is worse than being overexposed.
About the only exposure that Carrie is getting right now is her concerts, award shows, and magazine covers. Concerts amount to little exposure as the audience is small and is mostly her avid fans. Concerts are her biggest focus right now. All the stars are at all the award shows and the best always perform. It's expected. When the time comes that she does not perform, then start worrying.
As far as I'm concerned, Carrie's promotion team should go for all the exposure they can get.
My only suggestion would be to swap some of the time spent on magazine covers into time spent singing in front of large groups of people, not just concerts.

What's wrong with asking about the competition?

Well as long as they are higher than TS that is all I care about...hehe....just so Carrie can keep her record.
Your competitive, but slightly selfish side, is revealing. I really don't care too much for what's happening with you know who anymore. Anyone that manipulates their cds, their music, and most importantly their fans, are not worthy of them. jmo

The Miley estimate of 300k is a little low. The Sugarland estimate of 300k is about right. jmo

Actually I like a little Miley and some Sugarland but only in small amounts So I don't mind if Miley and Sugarland do well in sales this coming up week but Carrie will always be my favorite. I'm able to tolerate TS a little more than in the past as her performance side at least has gotten better but her aggressiveness is still a turn off for me.
I really wouldn't care if TS kept her #1 spot if it wasn't close to breaking Carrie's record. But that would be if it was anybody not just TS. I wouldn't want anybody to break her record whoever it might be
Alll I really have left to say about all this is to remind folks how long Carrie has been ruling the air waves and no matter what happens in the near future we can rest assured that she is on the charts for the long haul.
We all know she can't stay on top forever. It's been three (going on four) years.
I feel like there does need to be a little water under the bridge for her to come back strong as ever.
Too many singles released one after another starts to get alittle too convaluted.
I am happy about JAD and hope it does great.
But as for CR, I am thrilled that when I go the the billboard charts she has consistantly been in the top 5 for 6 months.
I believe the single that is going to catapolt Carrie into history is not on CR and thats OK. That day is coming.
In the meantime I just hope hollywood/country don't soil her image with alot of wanna be's.
