I REALLY think she should. By this I mean set back in the 1940s or such... where she gets to wear the old school clothing and act out a story in the video
I think there are several songs she could do this with: Just A Dream, Get Out Of This Town, The Night Before Life Goes On.... all have classic themes that would be perfect for a throwback video. I would love to see Carrie dressed like Rose from Titanic (or like the girls in Pearl Harbor) lol. She would look great and it would be like a mini-movie for the fans.

Well, I guess it would be pretty cool.
I don't know what kind of mass appeal it would have.
But, I would love to see her that way.
I'm not usually to impressed with "period" pieces.
But you are probably right about JAD working in that way.
It might be just what it needs to avoid any current back lash.
On GAC Nights Carrie said that she saw JAD as set more during the Vietnam War. I think retro video set in that time could well too. I don't really see JAD as a anti-war song but a song about loss and wondering what could have been. I have seen several anti-war videos on YouTube that use JAD as background music.
One of JAD strong points it is timeless. It also depicts the grieving process very well. That is why so many can relate to this song. I do hope she gives another producer/director a chance to do this video.
