What other people say about Last Name?
So, my mum is not a Carrie Underwood fan. I mean, she was rooting for Carrie along with myself to win AI4 and she has enjoyed watching Carrie perform on Idol every year she returned since, but she hasn't exactly been listening to Carrie's albums.
So today when she was in my room, I sat her down and showed her the Last Name video and she loved it! She loved the song, she loved the video and much like me, she's sure it's gonna be a big hit. And my mum is not big into country music and she did say it's a good thing Carrie mixed the song up with some rocky vibe.
So... I'm interested to know, what do other people (who are not Carrie fans) have said about the song/video when you played it to them?

haha my cousins (who are 10 and 6) LOVE her videos ... but im glad they enjoy it, even if it's only because they think shes really hot ... weird.
on the other hand, my mom was a little ... weirded out when she saw the video. she said carrie had changed from the girl she first saw during AI ... i told her it was just a song and a role she was playing ... i dont know if my mom thinks of it that way, though  shes very old-fashioned

ya my mom isnt too crazy about it =(
the other day she heard jttw and than she heard last name and i guess she just likes jttw kinda carrie. i told her it was like a song role and stuff she said she relizes but she just doesnt like it because in her opinion carries changed.
but my friend LOVES it =)

my mom hasnt seen it yet, im afraid of what she's going to say.....
i mean im not even Carrie and some of the things that she says about her, makes me wanna cry...

Weird that some of your mums don't like LN-Carrie. My mum gets that it's a role she's playing and that it's the song. Everytime my mum sees Carrie, she goes "Simon said she's going to outsell all the other Idols" and I say "Mum, she already did. I told you this before" and she goes "well, Simon was right then" (which is always the bottom line, mum's a big Simon fan)...
My mum did find "Wasted" to be a tad boring when Carrie did it on Idol. But then I had to agree - Wasted is a good song, just not single material.
But yeah, I think we all should make people who aren't Carrie fans listen to Last Name. It's the kind of song that talks to a broader audience, to people who aren't country music fans as well as country music fans.

my mom is a carrie fan. she's not a HUGE fan of the LN video but she has lots of carrie songs on her ipod. my dad has BHC on his ipod, that's about it=]
