Meeting Carrie at Wichita Falls 4/29

I'm back from the Wichita Falls concert that was Tues. 4/29. I talked to Carrie's roommate, personal asst., #2 body gaurd Matt and he turned out to be such a great guy. He said he couldn't get a photo with me although I snuck one of him (a whole body shot). He said the fans were hacking into his myspace so he had to take all his pics down and close it. I talked at length to the head security guy for the Coliseum. He asked if I had ever met Carrie. I said this will be the first time although I have been on the front row of the Opry which was close enough to reach out and touch her. He said she was absolutely stunning much more beautiful than photos and had the personality to match. He said she was a tiny little thing. I told him yeah she's 5' 4" and I wondered how she could have so much energy. He said yes she is a ball of energy. I said I don't know how she could have man woes. She' gorgeous. He took his head microphone off and said to me, Let me tell you that is one smart girl, don't worry about her and then he put his mic back on. Carrie came walking by in western jeans, cowboy boots, and a tourquise hoodie and she was unbelievably stunning. I honestly could not breathe at that very moment because she took my breath away. The radio people went in first and then the fan club people.
A fan from Irving had her sign a picture and then he wanted her to sign the speeding ticket he got on the way there! She laughed and began a story about her getting a ticket in Nashville. She was very funny, down to earth, and seemed so totally nice and normal and so not a celebrity at all. Her
#1 body gaurd Sherman was in the room. He was alot younger than I had thought and very handsome. He is the African American guy that is always seen with her. Matt is the short, 5' 8", guy that is always with her. Her tour
manager, Keith, was also in the room. One lady began to cry and Carrie was very comforting and sweet to her (she had some type of outside issues going on with an illness because I had spoken to her in the hall). When it was my turn, I brought her a "tour survival kit" , a hot pink metal lunch box type container covered with her Tri Sigma skull and crossbones trademark, and it was filled with all her favorite low cal snacks and gum ect.. She said WoW! you really do know all my favorites! I told her that I followed her healthy eating plan in Shape magazine and had lost 50lbs in nine months. She was
amazed and I told her there were fans out there calling her plan the Carrie diet. She laughed and said Oh My. I showed her an Oklahoma newspaper from the day after her Oklahoma Centennial preformance on Oct. 16th, 2007 and she said "look at that picture, I look terrible" I told her there was a big one on the inside and you looked great. I had her sign my Sept. 2007 Billboard magazine that she was on the cover and I had her sign an 8x10 photo of my daughter Holly that we had made Oct. 9, 2007 at the Opry. I had taken Holly there for her 10th birthday and she was holding a Dallas Cowboys teddy bear we had made for Carrie. Carrie said she remembered the bear because it had big pink hoop earrings on and said Underwood on the back of the shirt. She said most of the things fans give her she just has to
drop in her house and doesn't get much time to enjoy them because she is never home. I asked her for a hug and she hugged me. Then when we started to take the picture, I said "Oh, yeah Tara, Smokey, Chris, Lisa, and
Justin from The Wolfe 99.5 in Dallas said to tell you hi! They love you in Dallas and they always say the nicest things on air." She said, "tell them all hi back from me." Then she put her arm around me and I got my picture.
