This was so fun and interesting to read. It brought back all the memories of being there that night. I too could have gone backstage. My brother in law is best friends with Marty Stuart. But I didnt know Marty had been there quite a bit since Porter Wagonner past away so I didn't ask him for the pass. I really didn't matter too much because I happened to be in the right place at the right time for the fan club pic. I stood arm to arm with Carrie. I'm the one in the yellow shirt. We were suppose to wear our fan club t-shirt but I lost 50 lbs since Aug. and mine was wayyy
too big. I told Carrie the week before that I had followed her healthy eating tips from her Shape magazine spread and the weight just fell off without even exercising. I told her that
people were calling it the Carrie diet and she laughed and said "oh my". Anyway my right arm had been in the sun for 4 hrs on the ride to Nashville and was a bit burnt. When Carrie stepped into the photo next to me she turned to her right and said "Am I blocking anyone?"
Her hair was lying on my shoulder, her back was so toned and tan, and the beads on her dress so totally scraped my burnt arm up. It really stung for like two hrs. But for Carrie that was okay. Go back up to the picture and look at those beads. lol. I told Carrie that she was such a blessing and she said "aww thank you". When I talked to Carrie the next night in
Little Rock, I told her what the beads did to my arm and she said "Oh, I'm so sorry" and I said its okay it only hurt for a little while and we laughed. I told Matt thank you for letting me in the fan pic. He added my name in pen at the end of the list because I was not on the list. I RSVP'd late on Friday and then flew out Sat. and i didn't get added. But matt remembered me from the Wichata Falls show and I was the only one he added. He turned several away. See it pays off talking to people. Matt and I talked about his myspace being hacked, that some of my friends thought he was hot (he turned red), I asked him about a necklace with a key on it and he said "this is the only necklace I have and I dont wear them much" I said okay if you say so but I believe I saw one on your neck at the Hershey, PA show on Valentines while you
were sitting next to Chace Crawford. He couldnt remember. When I got home I looked up that pic and sure enough, cute necklace with a old timey key on it. So then I saw a pic of Carrie from early last year with that same necklace on. So I'm thinking it was a real key and not a necklace. I'm thinking the key went to a trunk or bus or room or something. I showed Matt the sign I made that said Matt is 2 nice to fans!
