I had been looking forward to the Reading show for quite sometime for a few different reasons:
a.) It was my last day of school (work)
b.) I had known that I would be seeing Carrie friends that I don't get to see that often
c.) I was elated to find out that a few of my close Carrie friends won meet and greets! You go guys!

Ed (Carrie65) was sweet enough to pick me up and take me and another fan club member Cro(Carrienlinkinfan) to the show! The ride was fast because we listened to Carrie and talked about her and her accomplishments non stop! Thanks Ed!

Once we made it into Reading, we picked up Robin (Obie) from her hotel and headed closer towards the arena to find some din din! We winded up eating at a pizza joint and while there Michelle (Lilbit83), Jen (Jed1014), and Matt (Underwoodlover78) all joined us! The anticipation was building before, during, and after our dinner for we all knew that we would be seeing the one and only Carrie Underwood shortly in concert!

While waiting to enter into the arena, we bumped into Heather (litchfield) and Dan (ajarofpntbtr)! It's always nice seeing them and chatting it up with them! I tell you Carrie fans are the best!

Here are the tidbits of the concert that I recall...

Before singing AAG Carrie had told the crowd she was looking for someone that she recognized earlier in the crowd and her being directly in front of me, I put my hands out and shouted right here and she waves her arm and says "No, not you, I know you!" HAHA! It was great! Some of my friends got a good chuckle at that and my face I am sure turned beat red! She was looking for none other than the little 13 year old that made her a dress! I believe her name was Karissa! When Carrie found her she kept saying her name wrong! She couldn't hear her! She told us about how she made a pretty dress for her and how it was a purplish blue and that she was a up and coming so to watch out for her! She was so sweet to the little girl and told her that she would take a picture of her with the dress on and put it on the FC for her to see because it was left home in her closet because of being on the road so much! Then she dedicated the next song (AAG) to her and said this is why I love to do what I do and pointed to her! I thought that was super nice of Carrie! She even then bent down, took her ear piece out, and had a small conversation with the girl! Carrie is so great to her fans!

Before singing DFTRM she gave her disclaimer about how she is not married and how she is not endorsing anything bad (previously sung LN)! She said her mother is her moral compass and that everything she does in terms of songs etc if she gets a thumbs up from her then its all good! LOL She said she doesn't really ask her dad anything because he doesn't really like anything at all! She talked about how her parents were together for 40 years (Go Underwoods)! Carrie said she doesn't know how they lasted that long at all! She said her dad really doesn't go anywhere or do anything and how she had to drag him to her graduation because hes done it twice before and shes the baby! She said she knows how much he loves her though because his friends go up to her and say OMG he talks about you all the time! She then proceeded to say that she talks about whatever and most of the time random things come out of her mouth! She told the crowd she has a very dry sense of humor and how her and Brad Paisley get along REALLY well because they can go back and forth but he's a lot quicker than she is! She said she is from the COUNTRY so she was a little slow! She told the crowd that Checotah public school systems did the best they could with her! HAHA! She ended by saying now that I have offended my public school system and talked about her dad and that somehow he was going to find out that she was talking about him on stage and get mad she should just start singing the song! She said its ok though because she has the microphone and can say whatever she wants and she giggled super cute! She then segways into DFTRM by saying the point is family and how important they are and how she has such a wonderful family. She mentioned how she loves to sing this song because for 4 minutes she gets to think about her wonderful family and how great they are!

Before singing ITYS she mentioned her return to school from the summer that she tried out for idol! Her friends would ask like third graders what did you do this summer and she would tell them that she played for a country show where they made her dance and she said," I don't want to talk about that lol!" She talked about how she couldn't discuss anything every time she would go for another try out for idol and how badly she wanted to tell everybody! She then said that that was the beginning of everything in her life and how she has been able to do so many amazing things and go to Iraq and Africa and go from town to town and meet great people! She then mentioned her grand ole opry induction and how Randy Travis let her steal his song to put on her new album and how she could never do it as good as him (Yes, Carrie you did it BETTER)!

Before singing IAICA she thanked us for having her back in Reading and to enjoy the pictures of her hometown on the screen, even though there wasn't really much to take pictures of in her hometown!

Before singing TMBIM she talked about how their was a house suite in the corner of the arena and how it would be cool for someone to live there and then she goes, " I live in a house in an arena with my dog and I walk him in this area (points to the floor) everyday! LOL She then did her normal chatter of asking if the guys are good in Reading (thumbs up or thumbs down version)! LOL Then she says well well well they may be pretty (meaning the guys) but apparently they have got some work to do! LOL She said she feels our pain to the ladies in the crowd! She then said if Reading had prince charmings they would be in the arena there tonight and then said if any of you are single I'll meet you and then she cuts herself off and says I am joking! LOL She says she understands how tough it is to find a good man nowadays because shes 25, shes got a cool job, everybody thinks she's cool and she says I'm not though thats all a big lie! She said everything is good in her life yet the guys aren't getting any better and she doesn't understand what the deal is! Then she talked about Ace and said he means the world to her and dedicated the song to him and all the prince charmings in the crowd!

Twisted to this day is one of my favorite songs sung live and on the album and for some odd reason good things continue to happen during that song for me while at concerts! I winded up getting a handshake from her during this song! I was so happy! She was totally cute with Ed and Mark on the catwalk during this song as well! If I remember correctly she was roping Ed in at one point!

During the show Michelle (Lilbit83) and myself were on the big screen twice! Once during JTTW and then again during BHC! The camera guy was awesome! We actually bumped into him AFTER the concert at a local pub that myself, Enrico, Jen, Michelle, and Heather went to!

This night was AMAZING! I enjoyed every second of it! I hung out with good people (Jen, Lauren, Matt, Ed, Robin, Heather, Michelle, Enrico, Cro, Jeff, Dan etc. etc.), listened to good music, and got to see Carrie Underwood! What more could a girl ask for?

She roped Ed in.....lol...love it! I agree; Twisted is a great song. Very much like TWII.

Great review, Renee, gosh I love her chatter, wish I could have been there, but it was just too darn far!! Thanks for all the details!! I love how she roped in Ed, in Toledo she was pretending she was fishing and caught Mark, haha!!

Great review Captain! (I'm finally catching up on my reading and concert reviews will get me through PCD for the next 22 days lol). Sounds like this was an awesome show!!! I think my car breaking down was a punishment for bailing out on a PA show to go to an OH show! (Youngstown was a great show too, but next time I won't bail out on a PA show. I already have my Philly ticket so hopefully the PA car gods will be nice now!) See ya at the big D!
